Dandielon I would even say that it is too happy for the Stones. But still I like it.

Let It Loose - after they rehearsed it a couple of times and it was on a soundtrack of new Scorsese's movie I was almost certain that they would play it at Beacon Theatre. I was quite dissapointed that they didn't.

Altough Mick Taylor is said to have contributed to some Stones songs like Sway or Time Waits For No One the only song he got credit for is Ventilator Blues. Why did they credit this song to Jagger/Richards/Taylor and did not give Taylor credit for other songs he wrote. Was his input in this case bigger than in others? Or is there another story behind this? I'm just curious...

Here's an old one: What's the difference between Bono and Mick Jagger? - Bono is trying to throw his arms around the world and Mick Jagger is trying to throw his legs around the world.

I have only one wish: Keith sing We Had It All!!! (I know it hasn't been oficially released, but since it's a cover it's possible to do it live, kind of like "Nearness" during Licks Tour)

Talking about setlist abnormalities, according to Rocksoff.org on 25th July 1990 in Rome Keith did only Happy without BTMMR or Can't Be Seen. That's odd that both Turin 82 and Rome 90 incidents took place in Italy and involved Keith not doing his full set.

I think he meant how many people have seen Stones live altogether. So you have to add the attendancy of all shows. And it still will be quite innacurate because many of people saw them more than once.

That would also mean no ticketed shows in Eastern Europe. What would be point of doing regular show in Poland or Czech Rep. if there's a free show in Romania? Since the beginning of the 2007 Romania is in Europe Union so everyone can get there pretty easy. If it's true that could mean that it'll be the only show for Eastern Europe this summer.

They did 2 shows a day during most tours in 60s and early 70s. One was usually in the afternoon (5-6pm) and another in the evening (8-9pm). But during 81/82 tour there was only one show per day. Therefore I found it strange that they started some of them that early.

I was watching at some ticket scans from 81 tour. And what struck me was that on some of them it was written that the show started around noon. Did the Stones start show THAT early? I find it very hard to believe. Here's some scans: 27th September, Buffalo 18th October, San Francisco

I think that Charlie means that they never play it live in the way it was done in studio. Studio version of HTW opens with cowbell, then drumes come in (in wrong time) and then there's riff. Live they usually open with the riff. Another funny thing for me is the beginning of Dance Pt.1 It seems like Mick starts to sing lyrics but he changes his mind and starts adlibbing instead: - Hey

Probably one of the most well-known odd things is the intro of the Honky Tonk Women. Cowbell and the drums seem to be not perfectly syncronized. "We've never played an intro to Honky Tonk Women live the way it is on the record. That's Jimmy playing the cowbell and either he comes in wrong or I come in wrong - but Keith comes in right, which makes the whole thing right. It's

As it was already said on stage Manzarek played bass lines on the keyboard with his left hand. He did that also on their debut album but they decided that in studio real bass sounds better, so from Strange Days onwards they had session bass player. But actually I don't remember wheter it was the same person or did they use different people on different records.

There are different edits of Stones' songs not only in the early catalogue. Forty Licks 2nd CD is full of abridged/edited/shortened songs. There are also different versions of some songs on different editions of Undercover (I Wanna Hold You, All The Way Down and I think Too Much Blood too). On newer CD releases of IORR and Tatoo You are longer versions of Luxury and Slave respectively. 1998

October 6th, 2006, while playing at Regina, Saskatchewan, Mick Jagger referred to the city as "the city that rhymes with fun." (as local radio stations had been billing the city leading up to the concerts). Two days later, on the October 8, 2006 concert, Mick Jagger promised the mayor of Regina that he wouldnt make any jokes about the fact that the name of the town rhymes with a certain

Sorry if this thread is way too silly but I'm curious: what is the longest vinyl album? I mean only vinyls released as one record. Aftermath UK ver. is pretty long (over 53 minutes). Flying by UFO clocks around 60 minutes. Any other examples?
