The impersonator contest (Elvis Tribute Artist) is always fun - ya gotta go early to see all the ones who don't make the finals. I've seen Black Elvis, Female Elvis, Swedish Elvis, Japanese Elvis, little kid Elvis.....and a man in his own category, El Vez (wonderful dude). I see this year it is the 1st officially sanctioned one - in the past it was always put on by a local nightclub

I know that in Memphis there is a bar (Kudzu's) that has an open mic night - maybe on Thursdays, but I can't be certain. It's located at 603 Madison Avenue (phone: 901-525-4924) - a pretty cool little place. It's not far from Beale Street...maybe about a mile at the most. Great pics! I'm thinking my show in Little Rock, set for Thursday,is gonna get cancelled, much to my disappointment but I guess it can't be helped. They are my two favorite bands of all time - the only thing is I haven't seen the Who live since 1982 in Birmingham......even now they are skipping Memphis (a basketball game conflict, no doubt) but I have tickets to Little Rock....after reading this thread I am ready to start bouncing off the walls! I downloaded this show a few months ago - I saw the Who a couple of days later in Memphis so this was the next best thing. And speaking of the Who, broke down and bought tickets to the Little Rock show today - haven't seen 'em since 1982!! I am pretty much over the moon right now!
