coming after Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile On Main St, Goats Head Soup had a lot to live up to. IMHO, there's more filler on this album than great/good songs. same could be said for It's Only Rock 'n' Roll and Black and Blue. it wasn't until Some Girls that they put out an album again that you could listen to straight through with out skipping o

QuoteKurt I just looked back at an old email... Zip Code Tour went on sale on April 13th 2015 First show was San Diego on May 24 2015 41 Days. since the tour will be arenas rather than stadiums they are probably waiting on availability of venues. the NHL has already released their 2016/17 schedule but the NBA is not releasing theirs until August so my thinking is there won't be any

Africa is simply listed as Africa on the sleeve. the labels on the record itself have only artwork with no credit or information listed.

a couple of years ago I worked with a guy who was 25 years old. we were in rhe break room and he had been drawing. I commented that it was pretty good and maybe he should go to art college and said even Keith Richards went to art school. he replied that he might be impressed if he knew who that was. he was really into video games & a friend of his who worked at the same company said that th

like some here I first came across Slave as the track Black 'n' Blue Jam on the Reggae 'n Roll bootleg loved it then, when it came out on Tattoo You a couple of years later I was glad to have a better sounding (although edited) version. was blown away in 1995 when the Virgin cd of Tattoo You was released with the longer edit.

1) can I have a job administering the Rolling Stones' tape vaults ? 2) can I have a job looking after your personal record collection ? 3) can I be your wing man ?

don't like it, never have. always made a point to skip over it when I played the lp. when I put Black And Blue on my ipod I replaced it with Worried About You. I also started with Slave, kept Hot Stuff for a funky 1 2 start, making Black And Blue 9 songs but that's another discussion for another thread.

all shows on this tour have had a minimum two day rest in between. therefore any secret Toronto show would have to take place after Quebec. Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th - I doubt they would close the tour with a club show.

interesting set list, not many "warhorses" that people here like to complain about. it'll be interesting to see what get played in San Deigo Sunday night and how the set list will (or may change) during the tour. not sure how some of songs will work in the stadiums vs the theatre but we'll see

QuoteNaturalust QuoteLetsWork I'm guessing that they figured between Buffalo, Toronto, and Rochester all being close by, there would be enough demand not to need LD tix right off the bat. It's the only show that folks from NYC and Boston could reasonably drive to, as well. Have you ever seen NYC and Boston drivers? Reasonable is not an adjective I would use to describe them. LOL. B

I imagine this has been covered at some point but seeing as it is the anniversary of Brian's death I thought it might be time to resurrect the topic/debate . If you had to play one (or two) songs to someone as an example of Brian's contribution to the Rolling Stones what would they be ?

QuoteSweetThing Quite possibly, yes, but the aircraft does not have the legs to fly non stop from Perth to New York, so after a fuel stop in the Mid East, we will see where it goes....US or Europe... maybe a stop in England to drop off Charlie, Ron & Mick Taylor before taking Mick & Keith to the U.S.

QuoteJJHMick Any suggestions which of the Monkey Grip songs would have been chosen for It's Only Rock'n'Roll (and which one dropped)? The Stones somehow started something like a 'Bill spot on record' like the Beatles (Ringo; and, more obvious George) and the Who (John) with In Another Land and then Downtown Suzie/Lucy for Beggars' Banquet. Pussy could've been
