Because no of us KNEW Brian, our opinions are based on what we feel about him from what we've read; some of us have read voulumes, others have read very little but still expound on him as if he were on ole buddy. I personally feel that he was just going through the motions of forming a new band, mainly to show the Stones that he was doing fine, was " happy" and was not bothered by

I am so sad! Just cried as I watched a news report on his last few hours. The vet cried! I thought he'd make it based on sheer will alone! He did have many good days since his accident, the vet told the press. Small consolation. I've been to polo matches and horse races where horses fall and I just want to leave immediately. It makes me sick. Well, I won't be eating much tonight.

Sorry, I was interrupted. The obit said that he did know about the band's nomination to the Rock Hall of Fame and that he was thrilled. Dave Clark was one of his best friends and they visited shortly before he died. Payton also played some guitar and keyboards and sang back-up on almost all of their material.I loved their sound! I also found out that the keyboard player, Mike Smith has bee

Hey Menace, after many washings, my shirt is still like new! I get all kinds of attention when I wear it tucked into my jeans with a hot belt! LOVE IT, and again, THANKS SO MUCH! Ok, I DO sleep in it too but in the summer when it's HOT! I am TRYING to finish this book today but it certainly does take much effort. Imagine, me STRUGGLING to read about the Stones! That should tell you all you n

I own this movie and I can't say that it's really thrilling and I don't recall the Mick scene mentioned above but I'd bet it is staged. Can't imagine Mick being that unguarded, even then!

I agree with Menace( Hey there Jon!) this book is NOT worth buying! I did and I wish I borrowed a copy to read; it is poorly written, and as I mentioned, even grammatically speaking. I'm surprised because I have read other things Greenfield has written and I've enjoyed them. Skip this one!

I think this show STINKS except for the episode Mick was in! It is NOT FUNNY, the writing is horrific, and I expect it will be cancelled soon. Too bad really, but even the premise, robbing rich folks, is not very interesting. They could have done so much more with this Mick plot, instead they falsely lead on fans to think Mick might appear in an episode when in fact Mick only recorded a tiny bit

I was at that show at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Ma and I took a series of great pictures of this funny conclusion to one of the BEST Stones concerts I've ever seen, and I have been to 36. Apparently, while getting set for the final bow, Ronnie grabbed a banana and he was goofing around and Mick was attempting to get them lined up; I am not sure that Mick was really mad or just pretending

I'm reading " A Season IN Hell" right now and I have to agree with you, Mack; he can't seem to kept the tenses straight! He jumps from past tense to present tense and back and it's very annoying. MICAWBER, when did Mick get pissed at Ahmet? Or is there someone else you're referring to?

Nope, and I hate FREE BIRD too! I happen to like Baba O'Riley but just think there are many songs far greater, like most of Led Zeppelin one, or most of Electric Ladyland and of course ALL of Exile and Sticky Fingers!

Well I know a bit about his personal life but I agree, it does not need to be brought out into the light of day! The article is excellent and to be honest, I have to read it again because I skipped a few sections, it's very long! I am not sure that some of his indiscretions aren't mentioned. It did say he was married to wife #1 when he met wife #2 so obviousy he gave in to a few human w

I always dreamed I'd publish a book of my verse, you never know! It sure won't pay the bills...That was kind of Hal! He can be crusty but he's really nice underneath! Moca still has great acts there! I'll have to see if there's anything great coming up for Spring, I'll let you know!

The latest edition of Rolling Stone Magazine has a fascinating article on Ahmet by the author of " Exile On Main Street: A Season In Hell With The Rolling Stones". Greenfield captures the personality of this man who did so much for the Stones after he signed them to Atlantic Records. Not only was he their business partner, he was also their friend. He tells a funny story about how when

Yes Gazza, I agree that " Don't Dream" is awesome! Love that cd! I heard about the suicide and then the band seemed to disappear. So glad they may tour and I WILL try to see them live.

Hey REV, I misread, sorry, you said you were going to go to the Albany show with buddy grads of Williams not that you're a recent grad. I read too quickly! I graduated from North Adams State College and was excepted at Middlebury's Writers school but regret I did not go. I have seen some great shows at Mass Moca! What a cool place! My buddy James Montgomery played a smokin gig with Dr.

Yes, Rev, that's the church I was talking about and cheer up, Hal may still be at Toonerville! I'm calling to see if he's still there! Can't believe you didn't make the hour trip to Albany for the show Sept 17, '05. I feel bad for you! So, you graduated from Williams in 2005?? You must be really young, but still very knowledgeable and passionate about our Boys! You&

Hey Rev.Robert, a Williams grad, wow, I lived 10 minutes from that campus growing up! Love that view looking down the hill by that white church! Nothing prettier! And Toonerville Records, I still go there for Stones boots! Hal March used to own it, maybe still does but I thought he was trying to sell it. Real unique place, Williamstown. Sounds like you have a nice place to live, near the water; s

EDWARD, I far prefer GOAT'S HEAD SOUP to SOME GIRLS, I think it's 200% better! Some Girls is far too punky for me, the swirling, fluid guitar style of MT makes GHS an under-rated masterpiece!
