Why not? Because that would be a RISK. The Stones don't take risks, remember?

Before I get up in arms about thin crowds at FOOTBALL STADIUMS, I have to remember that most of the artists I like and think are brilliant (i.e. David Byrne, Robert Cray, Leonard Cohen, John Fogerty, Lyle Lovett, Suzanne Vega etc. etc.) usually play at 1,000 seat clubs and small theaters and often do NOT sell out. If you're even booking a freaking STADIUM, you're not in too bad a sha

A year into it, I have to say that A Bigger Bang is far and away the best release of the post-Tatoo You era. It is not just "more of the same." I think it stands apart as a distinguishing work. What do ya'll think?

So, are we going to have mostly empty stadiums? How depressing. Anyone know what's really going on? I'm waiting to see the opening moght set list to see whether I will travel to a show or not. Seems so strange to be playing these huge venues in cities they just visited a couple of times. Good to see them playing on, but why not record again and then come back in Fall '

2773. 1968-1972
I love the entire body of work put out by this band, even the mid-80's material. In my opinion, they've never put out anything not worthy of their name and reputation. All that being said, what the F__K happened for those four years between '68 and '72???!!!! The hand of God must have been involved. Two very, very good songwriters suddenly became Beethoven and M

Waits is a favorite of mine. The point of the review seems to be either that (1) the show was good or that (2) the show wasn't good - I couldn't really tell because whoever wrote the thing was primarily concerned with showing off how smart he thinks he is. The point of the article could also be that Bob Dylan is good, because he writes about Bob Dylan almost as much as he writes abo

There will be no surprises, no rarities, nothing new, no club gigs. That's how the Stones roll, I'm afraid. Just expect to hear Satisfaction again and enjoy it while you can.

STEEL WHEELS '89, they will never beat that set list, length of show (27 songs!), spectacle, energy of the band, energy of the crowd for the reunion. Even if there were too many keyboards and some cheesy elements sound-wise, '89 was the best by a long shot.

Prince at MSG in '98. I like his records, but that show was awful. He didn't play a complete song all the way through, just a melody of hits for an hour and a half and that's it. 30 seconds of Little Red Corven, a minute of Raspberry Beret, etc. Never felt so ripped off in my life at a show. Anyone know if that's what he always does or if that was an isolated thing?
