I really like both Worried About You and Memory Motel. But I think it is unfair to put them in the same canon as CYHMK or Monkey Man. I understand the geographical significance to playing Memory Motel in Boston.

There is no excuse for NOT playing CYHMK - none. It is one of their deep classic cuts - they have all the key ingredients (Taylor) in place. I would trade Doom and Gloom, One More Shot and a few of the others for Rip This Joint, All Down the Line and the fabulous Monkey Man.

Would they bring Taylor on for the solo for No Expectations?

I hate to be so selfish, but I would love Can't You Hear Me Knocking for Philly #2 - since that is the show I am attending.

I will take that Satisfaction EVERY time - yes, a couple of bumps in the road. But it was easily the interesting - guitar wise - version of that song I've heard since 1969.

The 2 minute video they've put together with Taylor Swift is very well done. Love the shots of Keith playing the guitar. A damn fine vocal performance.

That was a great show - the ribbing Taylor took from Howard Stern concerning leaving the Stones was too funny. Howard would not let it go - he said - "I've missed you - why did you leave the Stones?"

I would have passed on the $600 ticket, but with Taylor on board - it is history. I've seen every Stones' tour since 1978 - Taylor's inclusion sealed the deal for me.

QuoteMax'sKansasCity Quotemighty stork I saw something that the real fans of The Rolling Stones who didn't get a ticket will most likely be angry about. At Fridays show there were quite a few patrons (not fans)leaving mid-show, not before the encore but mid-show. I personally hate the people who buy tickets just to say they were there while the true fans get bad seats or none at all.Any

I realize it is not 1969, but on the current version of Sympathy I hear the occasional guitar and a dominant piano. The Ya Ya's version was guitar driven - and yes a lot of that drive had to do with Mick Taylor. He could help this song on the current tour. I just do not understand Wood's cheerleading approach to the song these days. Can Ron Wood play this song well - I believe he ca

It would be interesting how the shows would sell in a stadium setting. I'm not talking about the Steel Wheel's or ABB stage, but something like the 81 or 78 tour.

They have zero issues with German march music - one and three. I must have some German in me - 2 and 4 does not come natural.

Mathijs is one of my favorite posters on this board. His expertise on all things guitar always entertains me. We will agree to disagree about the Taylor vs. Wood debate. Ya Ya's and Brussells are the Rollings Stones to me. Still Life and I attended two of those shows - just seem ordinary in comparison. To each his own. Favorite Wood solos - anything before he joined the Stones. I lov

The word baffling comes to mind as to the lack of Taylor's participation on this 50 and counting ANNIVERSARY tour. The tour is a celebration of the past and Taylor was certainly a major force on that glorious past. The idea that he's just a guest - he SHOULD be limited is silly. He lifts the band - the energy increases, the fans at the arena visibly love it - why not include him more

Quote71Tele Quotekleermaker 'Knocking' in best sound quality available thus far: help.... can't..... stop..... watching.... Exactly. This view is stunning. The war and debate is over and over by a knockout! Where is Sam Cutler when you need him - again, the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world.

If this is what you get with no "special guest" - then please - NO special guests in future shows. Just give us more Mick Taylor!!!The Stones have so much of their own history - they need no contemporary guests to prop them up.

One of the most historic concerts they've given - and that says a lot. Full steam ahead to Philly. My $600 ticket is not looking too bad if I get anything close to this set list. My stars - gonna give BV and fellow board members some credit for this.

Best - 1972 / Best I attended - 89 - just blew me away, I expected 81 part two. It was just so much better - better than I could have ever dreamed. Worst - 81 - didn't like the guitar tone, garbled vocals, increased tempo - although I did like the set list.

doesn't really have to be a mutually exclusive situation. You can wish and hope for more Mick Taylor without hurling a single insult at the great Ronnie Wood.

QuoteMCDDTLC Kleer - Like i said, I was impressed with the current Stones show, now if they include Taylor in more songs - all the better MLC Seems like a reasonable comment - more Taylor will only make the show better - it doesn't have to be an us vs. them situation.
