What a show with Van Halen, the Doobie Brothers and the Rolling Stones in the Louisiana Superdome.

I've mentioned this before - but I had the pleasure of showing Rick Hall the movie - "Gimme Shelter." He and his wife loved the Muscle Shoals' scenes. He swears Jimmy and the Swampers stole the Stones from him. It was fascinating watching him watch the movie. He was totally mesmerized.

Gazza claimed this tour to be the best one of the last 15 years. They do look like they're having fun. Why quit now?

I spent the 4th of July 1995 in London. The holiday did not go unmentioned - I was more than bit surprised.

The Rolling Stones should hire you. Wonderful job. On to Berlin - wow! I'm very jealous. Now back in Florida and curious if I will ever see them again. 25 shows since I first saw them in 1978. Again - thanks for chronicling what just might be my final Rolling Stones' concert.

i met Rick in 2004 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He and his wife sat and watched the Muscle Shoals portion of Gimme Shelter with me in my office. It was a great meeting. He admired the Stones and hated that Jimmy Johnson diverted them away from FAME studios to the casket factory - his words, not mine.

To my ears and eyes the Vegas show was great! If this is the end - and I hope it is not - they finished strong. It's been said many times before, but God bless the Rolling Stones.

Never got him - the whole Jersey thing. Hammered that "I'm just a poor working stiff like you" persona all the way to his mansion, private schools, and country club life.

Rolling Stone magazine and others were too busy praising Springsteen to bother with the Stones. They called the Stones' show "miserable" compared to the Boss. Just insane garbage - the show in New Orleans was terrific. Van Halen, Doobie Brothers, The Rolling Stones. An incredible show and tour.

The least respected group of all time!!! Fantastic singers and they were wise enough to choose top notch material. Hopefully Negron can make his peace with Wells.

You Gotta Move - Atlanta was really great. Dead Flowers is always fun. Wild Horses - Nashville was terrific. Never understood why Beast of Burden and Street Fighting Man are not warhorses - typical crowd favorites.

Orlando will have a damn tough time matching Atlanta - Jagger and company were impressed. But I'm certain the people on this board will do their best.

QuoteJesse1960 Stunning. That is the best word to describe a show I was prepared to have mixed emotions about. Would have wrote this sooner, but I promptly zoned out after hoofing it all the way back to the Hyatt Regency. Infinitely superior to any shows I saw in 2005 or 2006. Didn't have the best seats in the stadium, but the sound was so good it didn't matter. And good sound quality r
