Plant is such a shifty character, you can't trust him at all. You're telling me he's going to wait until he's 67 yrs old to ramp up a Zep reunion/possible tour after being such a bastard at these press conferences lately? 'Go ask the Capricorns'...that's pretty weak. This guy has jerked his ex-band members many times over, his voice has been shot for years an

Disc two is pretty good except for the obnoxious edit on 'Rocks Off' and the less than inspiring guitar solo on YCAGWYW that sounds like a big mistake by the time it wraps up. Disc one tunes are good too but 'Brown Sugar' has something weird going on, Mick sounds out of breath by the end terribly, and there has to be another edit issue in that too. Overall, it's not bad

I'm wanting a new album by this band this year. You don't get to this point now and let it fall apart...keep rockin' guys!!

i definitely do, but it's dependent on my mood and what i'm feeling. i mean, i have the new Muse album but I don't care to hear it every day, maybe once in a while like anything else. the stones are older, but the ripple they created in their music is felt for quite some time and they've left a great body of work and i hope to hear more soon with any luck!

if you can hear him in the mix that's a plus...usually he's buried in there like on 'no security' and large portions of 'shine a light'.

i can't just pick one, i know, lame! but each one reminds me of a certain time period so it's really depending on the time of year that i'll listen to the album.

i'm still holding out hope, no matter how dim it may be that we see another studio album from the guys. with any luck original tunes, Jagger said he had a ton of blues material he had wrote in the past couple of years, or covers. anything would be nice and i'll be the first or second in line to buy it no matter how many naysayers may be out there.

I think they remaster these albums over and over and you're not going to get a better sound out of them because of the mix. The bass is nearly non-existent in a lot of the Stones albums. It only seems that certain songs have any bottom end on them at all. You hear the kick drum, but the bass guitar, mid range is often gone. 'Emotional Rescue', 'Dirty Work', 'Stee

The Stones will never be able to satisfy their fans because plainly too many of them live in nostalgia when they first heard 'Let It Bleed' or 'Exile' or 'Some Girls' or even 'Tattoo'. Everyone puts those records on and are transported back in the day of their youth and glory days. So these days, everything sucks now according to them. But there are very

i've been using an Ampeg since 1980for my guitar work in the studio and on stage at times. it's a durable piece of equipment with a great overdrive with a kind of 75-76 stones sound when turned up. it has the blue screen on it with tremolo/reverb. definitely a very favorite of mine. friends have been jealous of the sound for years.

Oh yeah, Wild Horses, Love in Vain. Hell, I even love Spider and the Fly, and Little Baby too. This has got to be a regular release soon. It should have been released years ago!

I can name one instance they did suck, but, not under the Zep name. The 'Walking Into Clarksdale' was a terrible album all the way around, except maybe a track or two. Had Zeppelin survived the 80's and the 90's there would have been a lot more suckage. It's only because they released 8 studio albums for about 10 years. Look at the Stones for the first 10 years, that

From listening to the Zilker Park show it's definitely not one of the best in the least. Good to watch, but Keith sounds clueless. It's ok up until the B stage and then it's might dodgy. Very disappointed they would release it, although at the time I heard rave reviews about the performance. And, if someone else besides Keith is actually overdubbing, then they might as well not

this is terrible news and i'm hoping that tyler realizes he's too damn old to start up a solo career, best stick with his band, get his old ass together, drop the eqo and start writing some songs with his band members and get on with it while he can and people still care.

if someone would just be brave enough to remix some of these albums it would help so much. the edit between honky tonk women and if you can't rock me is atrocious. the sound is awesome initially but then 'if you can't' starts up and the kick drum disappears. same with 'hot stuff' and a few others. it is really inconsistent.

yeah, my uncle bought me 'love you live' so i could hear the stones in his car when i was 11, which i played incessantly. only bad part was program 3 never would run so i never heard the el mocambo side. also, one speaker must have been off, because i never heard both the guitars, i think the right side was off, so i missed most of keith's bits. oh well...he tried!

I agree, love this song...yeah, it's not 'hit' material, but rocks like a mother...lots of greasy guitar, strutting tempo drums and mick's attitude over the top. love it!! i thought it was about S & M until i heard and read about the political nature of the words.

yeah, why the hell not, i think it rocks pretty good for a bunch of makeup clad old guys. the mix is good and it's meat and potatoes rock. unfortunately i think the lead guitarist thinks he is ace frehley too much of the time, which at times is kinda cool, but rather tiring after a while..it's like, what do YOU sound like, not your impersonation of someone else

i just saw Aerosmith at DTE in Detroit last weekend and although it was comparitively short show of 95 minutes, it was a kick-ass rockin' 95 minutes that had a lot of old classic catalog songs that seldom get played from the 70's and some great guitar playing and rock star attitude. I had a great time and I've been a fan since the late 70's. They are better now than in t

If the songs got more saturated airplay on the radio everyone would be holding their cellphones up and dancing in their seats. Unfortunately, many stones fans feel the band only really played and existed in the 70's early 80's and thus don't particularly buy or like the records they have put out after 'tattoo you'. so without the fans buying the albums, and only

The problem i have with it isnt' the drum loop (since they don't have percussionist any longer) or Mick's singing. The guitar solos are terrible. Keith hasn't played this song well in years and years. He can't seem to get it. He keeps playing in the relative minor key for some unknown reason and it just doesn't cut it. Then, near the end when Wood chimes in with

I just saw them in Detroit last Wednesday. It's a very good show, but the Pretenders to me are rather plain and boring. Stray Cats were interesting in that it is so stripped down, and still sounds good. No one plays guitar like that these days, excellent player. ZZ Top have a very rocking and glitzy show. It's like futuristic lowdown blues. You know all the songs and it does rock

the amount of energy that moon puts out is unbelievable. pete is so reckless and is a whirling dirvish. he totally steals the spotlight away from daltry. definitely a classic rock film. too bad the band came to an end the way it did (in the classic lineup--that is).

They are more than a rock band at this point. Anyone that is still living on the idealism of what rock musicians say and do in their 20's-30's and expect these same guys to live and act that way into their 60's and beyond is just not thinking clearly. People change and acquire different interests over time. A rock band can be a total pain in the ass to deal with (speaking fr

all those guitar players are all listed on the albums except for beggars banquet. the more realistic example of 'stand-in' guitarist or drummer would be on the KISS albums of the late 70's when ace frehley and peter criss wasn't on the tracks. the albums all said the band was on the tracks but in the past 10 years and many books including by gene simmons all have said th
