George Martin always said he wished "White Album" was a single LP. He should have taken the role as a dictator on that album. But those egos were of course impossible to control. Wishful thinking: GEORGE MARTIN: Hey John! You've got some great songs there, but no way I'll let you record that crap about Bungalow Bill. And Revolution 9? I won't even comment on that

Don't we all secretly love the song "Summer of 69"? And there where lots of great rock'n'roll in the 80's. You just have to find the right records. Worst song ever? Anything by Queen I guess.

That's why we love AC/DC: they never change. Why would they? They just do what they do best, and that is to rock. And that's all they can do, they say. They would fail miserably if they flirted with disco, country, funk and all that. Don't we love when a band says "For the next album we're going back to our roots". AC/DC is always at their roots. Rolling Stone

A surprise performance by Mick and Keith at a London pub. They play Prodigal Son like they did on tour in 1969.

That ugly painting on Mick's chest was embarrassing. And the circus acts were silly I thought. The musical performances were brilliant though. The highlight for me was the groovy version of Jumpin' Jack Flash. It sounds mean.

Maybe the song would be even better without the smurfs singing in it.

So does Britney Spears, Alice Cooper, John McEnroe and so on. If you made a list of musicians and celebrities who love the Stones It would be almost endless.

Why can't you accept that both AC/DC and Rolling Stones are great bands?

I can't understand why the "Powerage"-ablum is ignored in the setlist. It doesn't make any sense. Most critics, most fans and even Angus Young thinks is one of the Top 3 AC/DC albums. Hasn't even Keith said he likes it?

I don't really associate The Stones with great drum intros, but the best is of course "Get off of my cloud". EDIT: Sorry, just read the first post, that you expected that answer...

yeah, it's always good with a weak song or two in the middle of the set so you can sneak to the toilet. Slave would be great to hear though.

The only thing I can think of that makes The Beatles a boy band by definition is that all members sings lead.

Check out the special feautures in the Gimme Shelter DVD. At the "backstage outtakes" Mick is playing some bluesy electric guitar for Ike & Tina. Not brilliant, but not at all bad if you ask me.

"he doesn't give 2 @#$%& about music. its all about the money" At least he's honest about it. :-) More musicians should be. Gene has always claimed that he is in the music business to get girls and become filthy rich. On the question "Are you just in it for the money?" Paul Stanley replies: "I've got the best job in the world, and the money doe

According to Ace himself he had the Nazi SS in mind when he created the logo. Gene and Paul thought it looked cool. They saw it as lightning bolts. Ace's logo was left on a piece of paper. Paul refined and redesigned the logo to the one we know today.

"To me it is a mash of songs that really don't seem to belong together." True. But I think you can say that about Revolver, White album and Abbey road as well.

I don't think the Stones was much of a live band either before 1968 (Rock and roll circus). Until then the PA-systems were bad and the sound was drowned with screaming girls. Artists couldn't hear themselves on stage properly. I don't think there's a single live recording of any song of the Stones where I prefer the live version more than the studio version before 1968.

I think Brown Sugar is the best rocking and swinging r'n'r song of all times. It always makes me happy and makes me want to move my feet. Gimme Shelter on the other hand is also one of the best songs ever written.

It's not stealing, it's copying. Before CD-burning I used to mix tapes for friends and loved one's. As long as you do not sell your copies or use them for commercial reasons I think it's ok. Hopefully you're friend will love the music on the CD and become a fan. Then he will probably go to the next Stones concert, buy some merchandise and some CD's on his own. The Ro
