I was at The O2 in 2013 when she rejoined the band for the encore (Don't Stop) which was a really great moment. Really glad I got to see the classic line up for a full show in 2015 where the final song was Songbird. RIP Christine - thank you for the music.

QuotePietro The song owes a lot to the great Billy Preston, who came up with the bass line. What's a disco song without a good bass line? Preston should've been given a writing credit, but the Stones were never very generous giving those away. I thought it was Bill Wyman that came up with the bass line?

Sad to hear this news. Glad I got to see him 3 or 4 times, he and his band were great. The album he made with Roger Daltrey is great. I will be giving it a spin later.

Thank-you for this post... I played that album again, first time in maybe 10 years, it is truly a great live album, with a great setlist even. I think the Euro 'tour' 1978 is referenced in the Live in Texas '78 DVD booklet. This was the first time I had ever heard of 1978 European dates. IIRC, the plan was to play European dates between some of the US dates which would have been logistically very difficult.

I went to four shows and don't regret missing any other songs performed at other shows, although if they had played Memory Motel in Berlin (as was reported in the live thread at one point) I would have regretted not seeing that. I got to see four songs that were new for me, so no complaints.

QuoteWhale QuoteValeswood QuoteWhale The 1974 Citizen Kane show is awesome. If you like on the beach then this one is for you. I hope they leave the 'honey slides' and the Southern Man rap on this release. I listened to it twice but it adds nothing to the bootleg. But did they leave 'honey slides' and the Southern Man rap on the official recording?

Quotetommycharles Given the damp squib that the 2017 TCT Tommy turned out to be, probably just as well Pete sat that Tommy tour out. Don't agree with this at all. I was at the first night of 2017 TCT and thought it was fantastic. Of course it was not The Who of 1970 but to hear the whole album played live was just brilliant.

You know an artist, or group, have reached the end when they do duets of their hits with currently relevant artists. Like Elton John! You mean his duet with Kiki Dee in 1976? Like The Lockdown Sessions (2021). A few names I recognise but a lot I don't. According to Wiki, this is h
