Toru A: I didn't know that there was another one for sure. I think it really should be Osaka. The last time they played 2 shows in the dome, so I would think that they could do at least 1 this time. Besides, if they don't, then Nagoya would be as far west as they would be going and they'd be skipping the second biggest metropolitan area, which doesn't make a lot of sens

Best of luck to you guys. I hope that you'll get to see them. I just noticed recently that my closest city, Osaka, Japan has been taken off of the "rumored" list completely, so I'm a bit curious to see how the Asian tour dates will shape up too. I hope somebody will have some info for us.

2 dates were mentioned, Nov. 14 and Dec. 10. If one of them is correct, it would probably be the December date simply because they have yet to announce most of the dates for South & Central America, and all of Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. It seems pretty safe to assume that these concerts will be performed before the European shows, so I'd imagine that at least many of these shows

Great thread for what is perhaps their most underrated song. Was I Am Waiting in the movie Rushmore? I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the Royal Tennenbaums, but I may be wrong.

It's funny that you've asked, because I've been thinking about music and marketing a lot lately too. As much as I hate to think it may be true, I think it's very largel

The best All Down the Line version has to be Philly '72.

Menace of Mayfair: "... (Northwest) World Business Class, where the cabin crew take care of your every need and everything that's so special!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I take it you've never flown Northwest before. There service is appalling. Don't get your hopes for a pleasant flight up too high. I'm sure Amsterdam will be a blast though.

My favorite studio outtake boots have always been Invasion Unlimited (IU)'s 8 disc outtakes series. I don't know if it is available in one set, because I have only ever seen it sold as individual discs, but there's some great stuff on it.

I like the song, but I prefer one of the versions that is on the Invasion Unlimited cd of IORR Outtakes. The second version of Silver Train on that disc is my favorite. I wish they had put that on the album instead of the version that the chose.

MickJagger1009: That was definitely SNL. I think it was Mike Myers playing Ron Wood, and the host that week was John Goodman. It was a great sketch wasn't it?

What about the one where Mick gets married to Jerry, and Mike Myers plays Mick with Dana Carvey playing Keith? Mick is nervous that he won't be able to "perform" on his wedding night and Keith reminds him that he's been sleeping with Jerry for 13 years, so it'll all come back to him pretty easily. That one was hilarious, but I don't remember who was hosting the

Leonard, I think your "@#$%& Blues" observation is correct. After all, technically if they had given Brown Sugar to Decca before they gave them @#$%& Blues, it would have basically become Allen Klein's song, because of how bad their record deal was at that time, so it made sense to hold out and wait to release it under their own label.

I've been wanting to buy an Aaron Copeland cd with the version of "Fanfare for the Common Man" that the Stones used on the Love You Live album. I have found many different cds with the song recorded by many different orchestras, so I was wondering who actually performed the version that the Stones used on the '75/76 tour. Does anybody know which version was used?

Auster: I'm sorry to say that I don't have any of these covers for you, but I was wondering, do you have a lot of Exile discs? Would you say that the Exile discs are generally consistently high in quality? I have seen a few of these in the stores, and they are usually pretty expensive, so I always wonder how good they are.

In Japan there was supposed to be a version of A Bigger Bang that included a dvd, but when I went to the store and asked about it they said that the release date was to be determined later. I asked if it was one cd with a song or 2 in dvd video format, but the clerk didn't know. Has anybody heard anything about this?
