Can't wait to watch the vids as they are uploaded. I don't wanna complain about the set list too much but the second part of the set could do with a change up, it's been basically the same for years now.

Last time knocking was played live Ronnie also the opening riff at the same time as Keith which beefed it up a little. Maybe Jagger on rhythm also would work well on it?

A NZ/Australia leg would be a dream come true. Hell, I'd consider making the trip to Japan too. My partner is Japanese so I could sell it as a trip to visiting her family with a Stones show tacked on hehe.

QuoteTaylor1 QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteElmo Lewis I understand that Billy wanted an equal cut of the money. Mick said "See ya". That's a shame. Take the band in a slightly new direction or save money. Billy was almost in The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.Billy was great. But nonessential. They did okay with Nickey Hopkins What do you mean? Nicky was before Billy, and was great wit

Another tidbit from me: Hearing Ronnie and Keith both on slide for Little Red Rooster is a treat on this mix. Personally I don't understand the complaints about the mix/SQ - I sure as hell could picture being in that club while listening!

Quoteretired_dog Quoterollmops That take of Fool to Cry is excellent. Billy Preston had a great influence on Mick and the Stones' music for a while. Beside the keyboards, Preston used his voice pretty efficiently, falsetto, high pitched harmonies, responses to Mick ad libs and funny vocal tricks. Those two were doing vocal weaving while Keithandronnie used their guitars to rock-crochet a l&#

Wyman kills it on Worried About You. I'm not one to slag off Darryl like some on here but Bill really kills it on this track, no comparison to the numerous versions Darryl has played on imo. Bill is just so in the pocket! A shame it was never performed live by this version of the band apart from this one off - 4 years before it was released on Tattoo You! I have played it a few times

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteHairball Steve Heap of the Association of Festival Organisers makes some valid points regarding the sales: ‘Ticket sales are slow. People are holding off to make sure they can afford them as they battle rising bills, and in case there is another Covid problem.’ With inflation out of control, a raging war, and the continuous looming threat of covid - it's no wo

Wow Wood was killing it on Hot Stuff! Funky as hell, remincesent of his Faces era playing. A shame he would soon be relegated to a second fiddle to Richards.

Blondie is a seriously talented musician, and his talents were kinda wasted just strumming and singing backup. He really could have filled out the sound if he was allowed to. A shame, and a missed opportunity. Anyways, as to the topic. The best for me are the 1981 versions, what an absolute great opener - great energy right out of the gate coupled with the announcement of 'Ladies and Gent

QuoteStonedRambler Quoteexilestones QuoteStonedRambler Me neither. Do we talk about real HD in terms of higher resolution or just about widescreen here? Because Twickenham was recorded in widescreen, but I don't know if also in higher resolution. I'm not sure. I was thinking wide-screen/HD. It's not necessarily the same. While the HD standard has a 16:9 widescreen format and th

The version from Light the Fuse is pretty good actually. Maybe the best live one I've heard, '81 and '82 it was a trainwreck. Too fast, sounded like the band just wanted to get it over and done with.

He said of the album: “It’s coming along slowly. It’s the gaps in between that eat up all the time. It is a matter of getting us all together again. “Everyone is in a differe

Actually, shouldn't Australasia be next; or, at least, after Europe and the U.K.? Nobody is going to be touring Australia/NZ or Asia for a long time. They don’t even seem to have any interest in getting back to the point of allowing things like con

Well, Billy and Ralph are both 78, and Poncho was a huge part of their sound for many years. I guess makes sense it sounds a bit different. You can tell on some of the rockier tracks Ralph falls behind the beat a little bit. Still, that's part of what I love about Neil, it's warts n all. 'Ragged Glory' indeed.

Well Zuma was recorded in 1976, Barn is going to be different and the band is much older now too. IMO, 'Welcome Back' is the highlight and would have fit in nicely on Zuma.

Respect is earned, and should not automatically be given because of some outdated notion of 'respect your elders' whether they are worthy of said respect or not.

As much as I love the Stones, they ceased being a creative entity a looong time ago. Gotta give it to Neil, the guy consistently puts out new music whether or not it sells much, or is received well by critics. He is living his best life for sure!
