This is the 2013 Documentary "The Life of Riley" about the life B.B. King, including remarks by the King himself, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Mick, Keith, Mick T., Ronnie and Bill among many others. I watched it last night, and Arte will have online for a few more days: Highly recommended, I thought it was absolutely superb!! Enjoy

As this is one of the most exciting things about speculating about the Stones right now, and with the upcoming special announcememnt on monday ( which of course, could about anything else related to the tour or not) I don't wanna let this thread die a slow death. Earlier this year I opened a thread asking about the likelihood of a new album being in the works and while the tour and the S

This is a very interesting thought but do you think that it would make sense logistically? It requires not only to fly them all out to NY but also part of their equipment for only one or two songs in total? I have no idea how much work (and cash) would be required to do this, so this is just a question for people who do

I can remember laughing out loud when I heard these lyrics for the first time: "I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station And the preacher said, "You know you always have the Lord by your side" And I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ran Twenty red lights in his honor"

Forgive me if it has been posted before (couldn't find a thread named like it). This recording of the Circus Krone gig in 2003 is so utterly fantastic! really a top-notch performance, I've been playing it for days..

The only reason that the 'Glimmers in NYC'-threads are sticky and this one isn't must be that it contains such breaking and cutting-edge, yet so far top-secret, news, that no one dares to make it sticky because this would indicate that top-secret news would have been spilled before the Stones wanted us to know.. At least this is what I would love to be true Also I would love

Given the first wave of replies the realist in me was alomst willing to give in, but the optimist in me was missing negative answers by some of the people who seem to be closer to the action.. Coupled with the reports about Ronnie & Charlie the optimist is getting stronger.. I also don't buy into the notion, that they generally don't want to do record anything anymore (for whatev

I wish you all a very nice sunday! The following question keeps popping up in my head, and maybe a few of yiu know have a smiliar view: What are the chances of a new Stones album being on the way right now? Are the Stones currently working on new Songs and even doing recording already? Three reasons how I got this idea: 1) Given that, at least to my knowledge, none of the Stones has bee

Same for me, I was just out of school, when it came out and I bought it for my mother's birthday, as she was the big fan in the family at the time. Little did I know that Gimme Shelter was about to hit me very soon and gave me the bug.. There has already been a big debate on IORR about whether or not, there will be another album, but I haven't given up on the hope, that they themselv

On the first Hyde Park Show in 2013 I had travelled to London with a bunch of friends, we were thrilled when the band started playing and we sang and danced our way into the concert. Then, when the sun had set down a bit, they started playing Miss You and when Bobby Keys started his sax solo was the moment we all lost it completely. It was so gut-hitting and magical, I still remember how that s

I guess Keith quitting his booze consumption and sobering up his act has hugely benefitted the relationship with Mick to the same degree as his playing improved with it. And the same way around, I think Mick is way looser now and doesn't have as much 'lead singer syndrome' as he used to, so two huge rocks in the way of a better personal relationship were sorted out. I don't

bild.de seems only to provide the link towards ticketmaster, once you are on ticketmaster you can only buy 2 tickets for each account. Now, what you can do (and friends), is to start different ticketmaster accounts, for example with your work address or a friends adress and data. If you then click on bild.de-link and have you 'new account' open for ticketmaster, you should be able to

If I understand correctly you need a TM account. Anyone who registers before will get an email with the pre sale password, at least this is what it says here on the German website Here you can register (english version):

On Ticketmaster it says that there will be a pre-sale for Ticketmaster Customers starting Friday at 00:01 until 8:00, when the general sale starts. So for anyone who doesn't wannt to or cannot access the BILD one, this might offer another chance. On a more general note, I feel it is far from certain that these concerts will actually take place given the current circumstances. I don&#

I'm really happy with Gimme Shelter, they sound really good and especially Mick is just incredible. I've said it before, but I really don't get the the whole dance around their "Vegas" Act thing. I'm unbelievably happy that they are all alive (but one, yes!), ready to play, and touring. And of course they play their greatest hits, I mean what else? They tour Japan fo

Jesus... it's the year 2014, the Rolling Stones are in their 53rd year of existence, all but one in their 70s, rocking out like they always did, playing in places they never did before and here you got people moaning that they play too many Gimme Shelters, JJ Flashs and Miss Yous.. I mean, seriously..?? I would also love them to play Let it Loose in my favourite pub on my birthday but.. Co

Thank you so much for the interview, that was a real pleasure! I also found this one here from 2006 which I saw ages ago and which contains the most vivid capture of Mick&Keith's aversion toward each other (at times at least, this being one of them) and I remember being quite alert when this came up. For all the Mick&Keith talk we had here over the course of the past 2 years this is

So, after the news of the 14 on Fire Gigs yesterday I guess that a new Album is not to be expected anytime soon? Nothing in the official announcement or the tour title indicates that a new album will support the tour or vice versa. I do remember rumors after the Hyde Park gigs about some studio work, but if it already happened or will happen it is probably fair to say that this to lead to any o
