Still don't want him on more songs though, thanks. Or any hologram's of Brian Jones just in case the Taylorite's are as crazy about him as they are MT. If that we're the case, then he would be getting paid more than the

QuoteBungo Someone should really start a Bobby Keys appreciation thread. The guy has contributed so much to The Stones for so many years it's ridiculous. He was even a part of The Golden Era. This may be his last go-round with the Boys. I'll like to buy that sommabitch a beer some time. Whole heartedly agree!! Met him at a festival in Houston a couple years back, and he couldn'

Part of what makes seeing The Rolling Stones live such a great experience. From Tina Turner to Lady Gaga to Taj Mahal and Buddy Guy.. Never know who will play on ONE song! LOVE seeing Mick sing and play with the Katy Perry's of the world. It's a gas gas gas.

Quoteduffydawg It's called Fraud in the inducement. Expanded role for MT my ass.... It's called delusional.(your condition) And besides, his role has inarguably expanded counselor. As well as his account balance, Glad to note that the only living (or dead?) Rolling Stone member not to reach millionaire status now has. On a related topic, on a scale of one to ten, how st

DD.. Thanks for warning and informing us all. Hopefully now that you've exposed them for the frauds that they are you can just go back to saving all your money and adoration for the surviving Monkee's who I hear are touring (!!) Definitely a group that should easily exceed your obvious high standards and musical expertise, Fans like you they (and we) don't need. "p

This appearance is the answer to the question "Why not more Mick Taylor?" Because. He would have ruined the appearance and cost them ticket sales. The youthful energy, (I know, I can't believe I said that either) cohesiveness and beautiful chemistry that IS The Rolling Stones would have been (nearly) RUINED by the addition. I'm aware he had already played in London

QuoteOpenG Yes lets all hope 4 songs - I hope Buddy Guy is backstage and he really respects MT as a player over the years same with Albert King( he got MT in some blues movie like last year when King suggested they call on MT for movie. I hope Buddy gets to jam with MT either onstage or backstage. Do you think MJ cares what Buddy guy thinks as he shacks his head and wonders why MT is not on stage

QuoteDoomandGloom The whole scenario is an embarrassment to Wood, Taylor and fans of the band. I don't think there's a vicious logic to it. A lost opportunity, poorly planned and unevenly executed, I won't post any further on MT, the episode is ruining the tour for me. I have tickets to Boston 1 and Philly 1, I know what not to expect. Most appropriate screen name. Ever.

Really glad for Mick Taylor reportedly finally becoming a millionaire of of this gig. If you believe the Taylorites, a virtuoso like MT should have achieved that status long ago. Sorry to hear bout his stage fright issue though. Potentially tells a lot about the stage time (or lack thereof). Thoroughly have enjoyed the time he's been able to overcome his issue(s) and have fun pl

Quoteduffydawg I have been a fan of the Stones since the 1981 tour. I am turning 45 tomorrow...but I always gravitated to my brothers' early recordings of the stones...which is now called the Brussel's Affair. It was MT that I craved. I only shelled out $4K for 3 shows (2 tix to each show) because MT was going to have an "Expanded Role" = more than 2 songs. This is a jok

Knowing many of those who went to that Staples-2 show also had seen them one time before in LV, LA or Anaheim. Do not expect any specials on the first night in a city. But the 2nd show or even the 3rd or 4th show in an area mi

I've followed this site for years, love it and this is the first time I've ever posted aside from a review I posted last night of the Toronto show, but man, the negativity from supposed fans. Lets play critique the critics.. I'll go first. This poster is not only NOT a Rolling Stones fan, but I believe is likely working for some competing band conspiring to ruin the hole tour with the constant whining. Of the 16 posts, I defy anyone to find a praise or even a non-negative in Debbie Downer's posts... Re: Toronto-1 May 25 Stones show live updates Compared to Stap

Delusional. Any one that honestly believes that Mick Taylor has "saved The Rolling Stones" really can't even claim casual fan status. The Rolling Stones(aka Jagger, keith, Ronnie and Charlie) didn't need "saving". Good Lawd. Has he added some fun and nostalgia to this tour?? Absolutely. "Saved"?? Again.. delusional.

If Jagger didn't want Mick Taylor to play all the songs he played on the other night, he wouldn't have had the band rehearse them. Obviously, he was aware they would work up to the 4+ songs. (who wasn't after they all got rehearsed>,, besides the Taylor fans here?) Those that now ant to take credit like you all had anything to do with it are being absurd at best and del

QuotePhillyFAN What most fans would like to see / hear is Mick Taylor playing on all the songs he originally recorded with the Stones. Leaving the Ronnie years to Ronnie for his solo's but all three guitars on stage would make much better music with MT. Respectfully disagree. Most fans want to see and hear MORE of the Rolling Stones. For most of us, that line-up, that we love, is Mick

Mick Taylor on Sway tonight was planned and rehearsed. As predicted by most of us fans, as the tour goes on special guest Mick Taylor's stage time will increase. Didn't take a rocket scientist to predict that. For those (see "JumpinJackOLantern) about to try to take credit for the band's strategy and plan, Don't. It'd be embarrassing for you.

QuoteBrstonesfan He single handedly elevated the Stones into a guitar driven band and brought the best out of all of them musically. Without Mick Taylor, the Stones would not have been the greatest band of their generation. He got them back on tour in 69 and the rest is history.Taylor was as gifted as any other player of that generation , but unfortunately was denied credit by Mick/Keith and driv
