Doubtful it will be Steven Tyler... He wasn't at all amused with Mick's mocking impression of him on SNL.. Peter Wolf would be amazeballs.

A Huge part of me is celebrating while a small (but growing) part of me is already mourning the inevitable. A world without the prospect of the "next" Rolling Stones tour, album, concert et al is a world with an irreparable hole in it.

1975-2013 without MT: the concerts are good, ie efficient but far from being breathtaking. Yet another NON Rolling Stones fan. Sad, really. And to think, all those shows I attended, yet they were only "efficient". LofL

QuoteHis Majesty "For sure it would be: The REAL Rolling Stones!" That died a long time ago. Yeah. It "died" the same way Buddy Guy or BB King or any number of aging blues stars did. Which is to say they got better. I for ne LOVE the "real" Rolling Stones as they are right now. If one doesn't, they should stop following or commenting or patronizin

The only reason I would vote against Peter Wolf guesting is because I couldn't be there and might die of jealousy. Whammer Jammer lemme hear ya... Mickey! Still has it...

Excellent post, sincity and one that really hits home. I think a lot of us have been trying to prepare ourselves for the inevitable "last time" for a long time. Our age is the same and our love affair with the band the similarly. The song that hooked me at 12? Midnight Rambler. They somewhere in their advertising/literature changed their tag "The Greatest Rock and Roll Band

The closest I've come to meeting a Rolling Stone was shaking Bobby's hand and asking him about when the Stones ere going to tour again? "Waitin' on the call, man... waitin' on the call."

Sorry to read that Bill was miffed at being invited to play on only a couple songs. What part of "you quit the band, and now you're a guest" is hard to understand for Bill and MT fans?? MT clearly gets it and is demonstrating why the decision to only play on a couple and gradually work up to a few, is a good one. Additionally, it's not like they didn't hire a

Fascinating insight into the technologies used on the tour. And really, fairly close if not spot on as to what my (and a lot of fans) guess would have been. "Keith doesn't read 'em" and Charlie hating even to have to have a cel phone is exactly how I would expect that to play out and exactly as it should be.

QuoteSpodlumt This special guests crap is so offensive. The fact that such a legendary band would stupe to this is an offense to everybody that followed them from the beginnning. I am ashamed to be a fan for more than 45 years,THEY @#$%& BLEW IT! God, what a waste. Mick Taylor comes back (basically to cover for a geriatric, worthless Keith Richards) and he plays two songs a night? WTF? We get pe

QuotePowerage QuoteTeddyB1018 Man, isn't it great that Mick Taylor is playing Sway, Can't You Hear Me Knocking and Midnight Rambler with the Rolling Stones. I mean it. And Midnight Rambler is not an accidental choice. Keith cited it in Crossfire Hurricane as sort of definitive. It used to be a standard, but is unknown by many people now days since it's not a hit played on the ra

I can understand the pic and those that are miffed. It's still called music BUSINESS and I'm thankful the Stones are still working it like they always have as opposed to some farewell MO. As for being offended at the "hot chick" comments,Mick and the boys must offend often as bringing out a "hot chick" to sing with and flirt with Jagger has been standard oper

AEG is sponsoring her tour as well as the Stones. There's worse things than having a HOT young girl whose HUGELY popular do a number (and a nice one at that). I for one LOVE watching Jagger sing and interact with a beautiful lady on stage. Do people really want them to stop what they have done for decades and just do some kind of "farewell" tour?? I don't. From Rolling Stone: The Rolling Stones As always, the Stones are doing a greatest-hits playlist, including "Paint It Black, "Gimme Shelter" and "Jumpin' Jack Flash," although they've been playing "Emotional Rescue" on this tour for the first time and recently added "Sway" with old friend Mick Taylor on guitar. Show up for the surprise gue

Know why I love the fact that that there will be a young, hot, hugely popular singer sharing the stage with The Rolling Stones tonight for one song?? Because it's The Rolling Stones and that's what they do and have done for a long time. If this is somehow news to you, then you haven't been a fan for long and/or haven't been paying attention. Quote71Tele QuoteStoneage Before this Taylor craze goes out of hand: It's all to late. This is a farewell tour. It will, most probably, all end in Hyde Park in July. Taylor will do his 2-3 numbers on each show. It means a lot for the Taylorites and not to mention Mr Taylor himself. 90 % of the audience though doesn't care. It's too late for Taylor to be able to influence the band i
