QuoteCaptainCorella Quotejahisnotdead Paul stays in the house where George died? That's wild. Turn it round. George was dying and Paul helped ease his pain by letting him spend his final days in one of his (Paul's) houses. A loving gesture to a dear friend. Whew. That makes it a lot less creepy.

Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame ain't **** without the Monkees. It seems every other artist regardless of genre is going to get in before they do. I'll never understand why. I've heard the arguments against them being included, and I don't agree. Every "objectionable" element about the Monkees can be found in other artists that are already in.

I think there was a similar thread on here some years ago. Anyway. .. Another vote for Love's "Forever Changes." I listened to it three times, and just didn't get the appeal. Pretty much anything by Radiohead. I bought five cd's from a friend and couldn't find much to like. I liked Creep and one instrumental song.

I could be wrong, but the last time I did informal research on this topic, I think "Rumors" had the greatest number of songs that went on to become concert staples.

How do you rate the early albums with a U.K. version and a U.S. version? Do you rate them separately?

They opened for Bob Seger here in Atlanta a few years back. I didn't know until literally the night of the concert. I would have loved going to see the J. Geils Band live. That would have been a lot of fun.

I do love them too. My uncle played me "Showtime!" when I was a kid and it made a huge impression on me. "If that's love, then... Looooooovvvvvveeeeee..." *take needle off, put arm to the side, lift the record off the still spinning turntable, flip it over, put it back on the spindle, pick up the arm, put the needle back on* "...STIIIIINNNNNKKKKKKKKKSSSSS

I like Jack White, but I remember thinking "Hotel Yorba" was a shameless copy of Country Joe's "Fixin' To Die Rag", so White really shouldn't be accusing other artists of copying others. I will try to check out his new album now. I was going to skip it because I thought "Hi De Ho" was terrible. But if there are some good songs on the album, I'l

Yes, good for them on having a number one album. It's well-deserved. The music is organic. It's also interesting reading/hearing their comments on their next album in the works. The first news I heard on it was that it would be overall more laid back than "Unlimited Love". Recently Anthony has said that he was outvoted on one or more tracks that didn't get included on

QuoteRollingFreak At this point you really just have to be a known band to have a #1 album. Having said that, good for them. If I recall correctly, McCartney III only made it to number two.

Quoteschwonek Chad Smith really eats drums for breakfast. Also check out Rick Rubins podcast. I enjoyed that show quite a bit. George Clinton isn't adding any thing to the closer, but the rest of it was great. You can tell that they are enjoying playing music. Flea is always into it. The Rick Rubin interview was very interesting too. You wouldn't have thought blues and punk

I cut my new album playlist down ruthlessly, by six tracks. "Not The One" is least favorite of cut bunch. I sort of like "One Way Traffic" but it kept reminding me of "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses so it had to go. The good news is that the remaining songs are all quite enjoyable and are rewarding re-listens. Here are my favorite tracks from "Unlim
