"Hi Gazza, there's no way the UC in Chicago holds 23k for concerts unless it's in the round. By blocking off the whole endzone, I can see that many seats being cut off" DGA35, i think you have right. I have seen statistics about UC being sold out with 14,000 tickets sold, or 15,000, or nearly 17,000 (Bon Jovi, 2011). Maximum 19,293 (U2, 2005), I never have seen attendances

The numbers of the whole northamerican tour's leg (2013) are: 18 shows Total attendance: 253, 296 Average attendance per show: 14,072 Total gross: $ 87,495,381 Average gross per show: $ 4,860,854 Average price per ticket: $ 345,42 PS: As for the 5 gigs of 2012: Total attendance 73,702 and total gross $ 38,687, 010. So, the "50 and counting tour" (2012- 13) has so far at

Some observations: 1. The current tour has already yield 126,2 million so far. Which means 40,6% of the whole Licks Tour gross or 22,6% of the whole ABB tour, that as we know is the second highest grossing tour ever. And all this gross ($126,2 m) cames just from 23 arena gigs... (Do you remember all these rediculous articles and "predictions" about the "upcoming tour's fin

"Sales of Grrr tripled after their glasto gig. Jump back doubled" Yes, BowieStone, also Georgelicks noticed how Glasto gig affected these compilation's sales. And, you know, "Grrr!" had already sold very well in the UK. I think "Grrr!" sales is a really interesting figure: Another one Stones compilation, a 3 Disc expensive one, a compilation that is considere

For example, i can easily remember a number like 06972 928618 as "Let It Bleed - Exile- First time Barcelona won Champion's League- Dirty Work- End Of World War 1". When the Stones do their best, they are by far the best live act in the world. When the Stones are "in a rut" (which, on some nights, does happen to every act being on tour), the band is still a really charming act, that just allow us to cancel the worlds "by far" or allow as to draw comparisons between them and a few other bands... Once again: The general level of their

Yes, the show was amazing. But i am really surprised to see many people who know the Stones being astonished to their performance at Glastonbury. To me, no surprise. Not at all. I think the level of band's performance there was almost "announced", considering some obvious factors. 1. The general level of the previous shows of the tour. 2. Who was not certain that the Stones

Ronnie is really excellent on this tour. And, in addition, i think he did very good job during the bigger part of ABB's tour, covering well Keith when he had problems. Hey, don't forget, was Ronnie the guy who made "Streets Of Love" be sounded much better live (just my opinion)... I think Ronnie's weak "part" in the last 10 years was the european leg of Licks

Thanks stonehearted for the JJF video! Just one observation - thought: On 3.13 Ronnie is rewarded for his playing by an enthousiastic crowd's cheer. Does he deliver something special or unusual at this moment? IMO no. Ronnie is just doing his usual good job on JJF. Crowd's reaction reminds me of some recent complaints (here, on the board, of course...) about how "boring" R

Another one, from guardian.co.uk (John Plunkett) "Rolling Stones' Glastonbury show pulls in 2.6 million viewers on BBC2 Mick Jagger's appearance made it the biggest peak audience for any of the BBC's coverage of the annual music festival They played hits including Midnight Rambler, which was just about the time the Rolling Stones finished on BBC2, but it didn'

TO STONE 13: You sound like a desparate "troll" (i don't know whether you really are and i don't give a sit about) who does feel very unhappy just because so many people are feeling happy with the Stones performance at Glasto or with the level of their current performances, overall. You have the right to express any opinion, of course. But, please, stop this stupid game w

Yes, as erikiif says, there are somewhere the exact figures. Until you locote them, maybe you are interested in the attendances per tour (since 1989). 11 1989-90 - 6.2 million 1994-95 - 6.5 million 1997-99 - 5.7 million 2002-03 - 3.5 million 2005-07 - 4.7 million Total 26,6 million. Included Rio's free concert, nearly 28 million. As for the years 1962-1982, the total atten

Sometimes i gather that, if some fans were in the mood for analyzing every single note and every single moment with such a "severity", from the beginning of Stones career, then they would rate even 1972-73 performances as "mediocre"...

Jmarko, your review prompted me to see once again the clips from Boston-2. I strongly disagree with you. The standard of the gig was really high, IMO. But, i know, after all it's a matter of taste. (For example, i didn't like many of the 1978 band's performances...)

Was i lucky? Maybe... But every Stones gig i had attended in 2006 and 2007 was better than "just decent". Ronnie was "the man" on the guitar work. Keith was OK or something more, on the particular gigs. Judging from boots from other ABB gigs, yes, Keith had some completely "off nights". I don't know how many...He probably had serious health problems then. But, h
