Who do you think has done the best outside the Stones, not being Mick or Keith? (Sidemen includes) For me, Ronnie Wood, hands down

In Brian´s case i think it was a general disechantment, not for a particular song. He felt he deserved some credit for his contributions (read for example,Phelge´s book) Nicky felt quite bitter for various songs in which he added a lot (read Dawsons book on Nicky): Angie, Time Waits for no one, Salt of the Earth, maybe even Sympathy, etc Gram, well, i really don´t know, but i acknowledge that a

There´s a lot of talk about this matter. We all know of an interminable list of musicians claiming that they deserve writing credits for this or that song. You name them: Bill Wyman, Brian Jones, Mick Taylor, Billy Preston, Nicky Hopkins, Gram Parsons, etc, etc Obviously, they have contributed and they got paid for it, but i am sure all the great songs would appear all the same without all the

I understand that when he approached the Stones for a comeback he was already over with booze and drugs. I was a case similar to Bobby Keys. The only difference is that Chuck was on board....

In my personal opinion,If he have had the strenght to keep inside the Stones, i´m sure they, in their particular way, some way or other, should have taken care of Nicky, as they did with Woody, Boobby Keys (in their particular way, i repeat), Keith, etc., Probably he was too messed up to stay there. I´m sure he would have lived longer

Nicky´s place was quickly took over by Billy Preston, who according to the book was always ready to get into Micks´ social thing, always being around, chatting with Bianca, etc....Not only he was a great musician, but he was good in this other aspect...and was in the wings waiting for his opportunity, while Nicky was only into the music and didn´t give a damn for all this other shit.

I´m just finishing the book "And on piano...Nicky Hopkins" What a story!! Of course, all we stones fans are aware of the great music they did with Nicky, but i didn´t have a clue of his life´s details. He suffered all his life with stomach diseases, been sometimes practically dead (nearly two years in a hospital, etc). What amazed me most is that apparently , in the late 80´s , 90´

Been to the cinema two nights ago to see the film and i can tell it is GREAT!!! THIS is our stones, our band, a really ROCKING set, full of spirit. What is unbelievable to me is that Mick has held this for 33 odd years with no intention of releasing it..... How many more great things those vaults may contain....

The best book about the stones, without any doubt. Booth´s is good but i think he writes like someone who still wants to remain friendly with the band while B.G. has no compromise at all. Ronnie s book i quite like despite all the criticism about it. Life is a great read but i dont like the vibe

Nobody mentioned Centenario Stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay. This is where the first football World Cup was held in 1930 and is still going strong. 80.000 plus, was very impressive in the thirties and it is nowadays some kind of southamerican Wembley. A LOT of history in its ground.... You can breath football when in the Centenario.

Mick is a giant. And he has the guts to get out and play the guitar, the harp, the piano, whatever. He does it in his own style, and he knows it is good for the Stones and for the show. I can´t stand the bashing for the bashing itself. I can´t understand someone bashes Mick´s guitar skills since he himself never pretended to do what he is unable to do with a guitar.... It´s obvious he is not

Man, leave him alone. He is doing what he likes and he is actually working! The Robert Johnson project is great to my eyes. Can you imagine the Stones today making an album covering tunes of their long time idols? Wouldn´t it be great? Well, Eric HAS done it already and it is really good. He is a legend. I can agree that not everything he has done is so good , but overall, hats off to Eri

What is incredible for me is that he never was invited to play a couple of numbers... We´ve seen the most strange guests with the Stones and Bill never ever got to play. Maybe he WAS invited but declined. No one answered if Keith ever been to a Mick´s solo gig. I bet no. Mick was in a Keith solo in London dough...

A lot has been said about "the ancient form of weaving" between the stones guitarists. This form of playing is pretty obvious between Keith and Ronnie, and it was no weaving with Keith and Mick T. Contrary to what Keith has said, i don´t find too much, if any weavind between him and Brian. Normally he plays the lead and Brian rythm, unless he is playing slide. Am i wrong, or this is

Man, who is this Charlie Finch? Who knows him? what on earth has he done? He is talking of one of the most influential musicians in the history of manhood. A guy that history will remember in the stature of Mozart or Tchaikovsky or Beethoven or even bigger since he was one that really changed the world and our way of living. Keith, with Mick, left for us real anthems for times to come. Maybe w
