Eddie, a dual layer DVD9 is usually two times a single layer DVD (called dvd5) BluRay is BD50 is a dual layer BluRay or BD25 is a single layer BluRay disk. They can usually fit 2 standard DVD or 2 standard BluRay on one dual layer disk in each format.
