Halloween, 1971 I was a young lad and PINK FLOYD performed at the University of Toledo (Ohio) just six blocks from my house. I went. I even recorded it but the recording came out horribly. Fortunately, someone else there that night made a better recording of the show. THAT version has found its way into collectors hands over the years but is not in this cache of live shows the band has recently i

An argument could be made that the depths have been plumbed of viable material and that the ABKCO albums should simply continue to exist as the masterworks they already are.

To reiterate: I was just there for Metallica. EVERYTHING is inside. The single entrance (multiple doors) to the theater abuts the casino floor. People were attempting to mill about there in the late afternoon but the guards loudly and enthusiastically were telling them to move on. The doors opened at 7pm so they apparently let the pit folks start lining up about 6:30 (I was in a bar). Ent

My section was Lucky Dip World it seemed. Section 109, row 6 and 7. I had several empty seats next to me. I heard about Lucky Dippers missing their flights as we waited at the pick up window. . Much to my wife's relief we didn't end up in the pit which was jam packed. This show had been a stiff until the border reopened and the Canadians came pouring in. Best I've heard them in

The car is a second generation Dodge Charger which is weird enough but Detroit doesn't have any elevated highways either. It looks like a middle schooler did it.

QuoteUNCSTONE Just wondering if anyone can fill me in on how things are set up at the Hard Rock. I have a pit ticket and know that I will be lining up early in the day. Does anyone know about the outdoor set up of the venue? Or - even better….has anyone ever lined up for pit tickets there? Strategy ideas are welcome! And let me know if anyone else wants to meet up to line up! I was just there f

The Detroit Institute of Art has a world class collection. It's on Woodward not even a mile north of Ford Field and accessible by the Green Line a free (or inexpensive) train that runs up Woodward to Grand River and back. The Green Line could also be helpful for those wishing to park a bit further away and pay less. Parking in Detroit is highway robbery. Expect to pay between $25 and $70 dep

There is the Green Line which comes down Woodward from the North and stops right in front of the stadium. Not much in the way of hotels up there though. You could find, cheaper, easier access and egress parking there however, and ride another mile south. The People Mover goes from the Renaissance Center on the river in a loop through downtown where there are a lot of hotels. Its closest stop i

"Black and Blue" is my choice and a sentimental favorite, obviously, but I question what might still be in the vaults. Very little has leaked and the quick turnaround and short duration of the album suggest there wasn't much to it beyond what we know. A session with Jeff Beck, yes, but it's supposed to be horrific. "IORR" would be my next choice and I'm gues

Quotetimbernardis I own a gun for one purpose and one purpose only -- to hunt deer and occasionally antelope. plexi I see. So, if criminals were breaking into your home and threatening you and your family you would leave your deer rifle locked in the gun safe as said criminal, while dangerous, is not an antelope? BTW, your deer rifle IS locked responsibly in a safe, right? RIGHT?

It isn’t that the masks and vaccines don’t work or that they are particularly dangerous. The people who don’t want them, by and large, don’t trust the entities who are so emphatically advocating their use. Be it the government, media, dodgy scientists or their overbearing, know-it-all neighbor. People have to trust those pushing the vaccine. A significant portion of Americans (percentage wise mor

QuoteNikkei Quoterbk Quotelem motlow It amazes me sometimes what a flaming douchebag Keith is. The dumbest gun owners are the guys who try to act cool with a weapon, you don’t use them to shoot golf balls or guitars to show everybody how wild you are and you don’t leave them laying around your junkie wife’s house so some depressed kid can blow his brains out. Fckng thing should be in one of two
