I'm sure there are lots of reasons for Mick's fanatical devotion to exercise and careful diet but his father was surely a big influence, as a fitness instructor.

Quotebakersfield A very sad day. I'm 60 and I've never known a world without the Queen. I think for many of us it was easy to think that the Queen WAS the monarchy.I wouldn't be too hasty to condemn Charles. My uncle, an ex-Royal marine has met him many times and won't hear a bad word said about him. Charles has made mistakes but i think he's an honourable man, playing th

QuoteTheflyingDutchman I remember that Tony Blair more or less had to force the Queen to say a few words in public about Diana's passing. I still wonder what the Queen's relationship between her and her son prince Charles was about . Well that's Blair's account (and he and his wife expressed Republican sentiments in their past) and The Queen does not answer back. We wi

I think all the references to meat and the skin or wrapping (ie the outer covering which disguises the inner content) are a lot more layered than references to hamburgers. As with most Jagger lyrics, he's talking about sex, at least on one level.

QuoteChrisL QuoteLady Jayne Quote24FPS Not a word about Bill, his closest mate in the band? Won't be a thick book. He's probably the least scandal free, but for a foray into hard drugs in the 80s. No known groupies. Just a damn good drummer. Was Bill his closest mate in the band? I had the impression, certainly in later years, it was Jagger. They certainly were seen together in Lond

It's stretching the term 'politics' to suggest that there can be any debate amongst reasonable and sane people about the rights and wrongs of stabbing an unarmed man at a civilian event - Rushdie is the victim of an appalling crime. I hope he survives and thrives.

QuoteRisingStone Quotevertigojoe I was at 2. Nowhere near as good as Anfield. However I was about half a mile from the stage. Guitars definitely not as good as Liverpool. Set list also not brilliant. Quotexpensivewino I didn’t see the HP1 show but I thought HP2 in the diamond pit was incredible. Also thought it was a great set list. I agree with the positive comments about the crowd at HP2,

It was a really good atmosphere and crowd at HP2. I was missing with Covid for HP1 so no direct comparison but I thought they played better at Liverpool than HP2. Massively enjoyed both. And, Rockman, I am of the strong belief that Keith would only eat HP original.

Quotebv Bill Wyman did his last show with the Stones at Wembley stadium back in August 1990. It is 32 years ago this month. There is more in life than playing in a rock band and touring the world every 2-3 years. I have seen and met Bill many times at his shows and at other events since then, and it is clear to me that he do enjoy his life as it is now, with no need to be on the big stage touring

QuoteHairball QuoteLady Jayne Quote24FPS It is strange how low key the 60th is/was. I guess there was such a big deal made around the 50th that there isn't much left to say. Not even yet another Greatest Hits package. Maybe Charlie's passing dampened their own enthusiasm. The American and European tour did have a bit of a working man's vibe to it. No frills stage. No sentimentality

I'm not going to torture myself with the ones I didn't hear. I feel honoured to have heard 'I wanna be your man' this time round in Liverpool because we're quite a select bunch.

QuoteGerardHennessy Some people clearly fantasising for fun about what might happen next. But a lot of unrealistic rumour-mongering, and claims about inside information too. As someone who is also in his 70s and counting I'm astounded by some of the expectations written here. I'm not claiming to be as fit as Mick, or as road-hardened as Ronnie & Keith, but I'm in good shape

Quotegrzegorz67 Quotethecitadel No tour later this year - if one was discussed it isn't any more. No tour in South America - you cannot get any profit out of some countries, even if you make some, which is unlikely. So Japan/Australia/NZ/somewhere else is one option for next year - they usually start there in March. The other option is the US/Canada. Timing like the original 2019 da

It's a bit difficult to say if you only went to a couple of shows - in my case, Liverpool and HP2. Liverpool was special because it's my home city, though I haven't lived there in years, so it was nostalgic even before a great gig but it seems to have been a favourite with a lot of people. I would have loved to have been in Berlin.

This one has been out in the UK for some time (with a different cover - early photo with Brian and Bill present) - I bought it in Liverpool the week they played Anfield. Gossipy, several blatant inaccuracies but readable. More concerned with Stones as cultural 'icons' than the music.

I don't understand enough about technique to comment on that aspect but we all know Ronnie has gone through a lot of health issues. At the very least he has a post operative reduced lung capacity, which will affect stamina but he has also suffered an aggressive form of cancer with a very poor statistical chance of long-term recovery. He is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. He has su
