In my opinion GRRR has one of the best sound mixes of the many "recent" live releases. In particular, Mick's voice is highly prominent, and it turns out his vocals are remarkable. In other recent live material it seemed like he was losing his voice capabilities and in some cases just going through the motions with minimal effort, but on the GRR tracks his voice comes through as

El Macombo release got me a great live soundboard of Crazy Momma. My wish for the 60 tour of Europe is a live release with a soundboard of 19th Nervous Breakdown. Two songs they won't include but I wish they would are: Mother's Little Helper and Have You Seen Your Mother Baby (Standing in the Shadow). That would be fantastic to me.

Does anyone know the date of each track on the release yet? March 4 or March 5? Also, any thoughts on why Happy is the only song performed that is not on the release?

So far for me the best setlist of the tour, with the exception of not playing Happy.

I have Words of Wonder volumes 1-4 plus The complete works volume 1 which I will gladly give to any collector who will pay the small fortune it will probably cost to mail it. I'm guessing up to $25 mailed in U.S.

Not sure what some of you are listing to but the sound of the audio CDs of the Rio show is fantastically good. It is way better than the audio tracks of either of the shows on DVD, although those are fine too.

QuoteRobertJohnson If they would arrange their songs in different ways, okay. I hope you don't mean "arrange their songs in different ways" like what they did to 19th Nervous Breakdown on stage in 2006. It made me puke.

Considering the pandemic risks of crowded concerts and the Stones' ages, I think it is well possible they will not tour again. That would leave me personally with some gaps in my live song version collection. Soundboards wanted for 1989 and later performance: Have You Seen Your Mother Baby (Standing in the Shadow), Mother's Little Helper, Miss Amanda Jones.

QuoteMabru Why compare it with the 7th of July bootleg if it’s from July 6th ? UMMMM to compare quality of a show mentioned in the thread to the new release ?

Further on the bonus disc: Almost hear you sigh has way better sound quality than the 7th of July boot. I Just Want to Make Love To You has better sound quality than the same song on the Highwire CD Single.

Quotejbwelda OK, another satisfied customer! mind giving us a more detailed review of that third disk? jb The bonus disc is outstanding. Crisp, clear sound, well mixed. Great choice of tracks, but too few of them. Also nice that Amazon has a policy of refunding pre-order costs to lowest price before release date. Those who paid $100 should be getting $40 refund.

Quotetomcasagranda Guys, far better than voodoo uncut, performance wise, sound wise, picture wise etc but shouldn´t you have asked that BEFORE you purchased that expensive item from CDJapan ? How does the sound compare to the audio on Eastern Promise? The same track or remastered? To my ear the sound on the original VHS tape of New Jersey sold at the show is better than Miami or Tokyo

Quotedeardoctor Ok, a bit dissapointing. I hoped for ONE HIT TO THE BODY... Well you still have two good soundboard versions of One Hit on Dead Man Cumming bootleg of two full dress rehearsals for the tour. I think this boot is one of the all time best.

QuoteBOBM I think I clearly hear "I got it" for the first line, but on another You tube version I think I clearly hear "I did it". I can't make out the second line, but the last part sounds like "on your grave". My final guess is "I did it, I danced on your grave."

I think a great release would be from the four club shows in Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and New York. You could catch all the songs performed by a full release of the Chicago show and a bonus disc with Parachute Woman and Brand New Car from Boston; Heart of Stone from Philly; and Dance Part 1, Midnight Rambler, and She Smiled Sweetly from New York. Maybe add a few more songs from L.A.

Funny also, all of these except that same one are on my list of the "few" songs that could make one good album. Don't thi

QuoteKevinM I couldn't even name 1 song after early '80s McCartney, it's just fluff & crap...feel free to elaborate either way if you know better. I agree. I'm a big Macca fan and I bought many of his later CD releases, but still I probably could only name a handful of songs, and in some cases I only played one or two songs on the CD's.

QuoteTaylor1 You could say the same thing about Paul McCartney’s entire solo career, Dylan after 1975, Bowie after Heroes, Rod Stewart after the last Faces Album, Clapton after Layla, Stevie Wonder after Songs In the Key of Life, U2 after Achtung Baby, Elton John after 1976 and on and on. Plus thousands of fans got to see the Stones live. Absolutely true. McCartney by the way has finally lost h

I just never did get into the albums of the last forty years, but the primary songs on each of them are good. IMO Dirty Work, Undercover, and Steel Wheels combined would have made a nice album of 10-12 songs, most coming from Steel Wheels. Same for Voodoo Lounge, Bridges to Babylon, and A Bigger Bang, with most of the good songs coming from Voodoo Lounge.

I remember hearing that it was hard live in the big stadium because of the breaks between the chords and the delay in the sound (if that makes any sense). It was played about 12 times in 1997." I count 17 times in 1997. Also 3 times in 1998: once in Tokyo and twice in Amsterdam.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteBOBM I just don't understand why they can't give us a little extra. I guess they are just trying to make us pay for the same thing over and over and I find it very discouraging to say the least. By my count there are at least ten available soundboards from 1989-90 that they could release. Aren't the bonus tracks from anot her show + the not wordwi

QuoteUKRod So, looking at the 6 Disc version, I already have the Stones in Tokyo 1990 CDs and DVD issued as a Vaults version back in 2012. What is the difference with the new Tokyo 1990 disc on the Steel Wheels package? Are there extra songs? Does anybody know? In addition to shows from the 24th and 26th, both of which have been released, there is a third show that was professionally filmed. Th
