QuoteThe Worst. Definetely overrated. It is a very hip take to make online that Brian Jones was the true genius and the rest of the Stones are suckers. Most of the comments come from ignorant people with little knowledge though. Right now I'm reading the comment section under Sympathy for the Devil from Rock and Roll circus. One comment: "Fun fact: The original tempo was so much slower

Amazing track. Mick's voice is just out of this world. The guy is 80! Everything was simply perfect and I'm just happy my favourite band still has it in them! I wish Charlie was there but he's smiling from above listening to it. He's definitely the contributor. Loved every second of this song and enjoyed every bit of the sound. Can not believe some posters on here keep pouri

Quotemaumau QuoteMariuana That's insane if you think it's just my assumptions - go and read Jagger Remembers interview from 1995 to refresh your memory. As for Faithful's statement that it was all her, she changed this story many times. First it was she co-wrote it, then she co-wrote just lyrics, then she found Mick's handwritten lyrics for the song and completed it, then sh

Quotedoitywoik QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotedoitywoik Can Mick's early version be listened to somewhere? Thanks! Indeed still an embryonic version. So maybe it was indeed Keith who came up with the intro as we know it today. In his book Life Keith himself said it was all Mick including the riff.

I find it really cool that Mick does not give a shite about what shoes are appropriate to show up in front of this group of people in and wears whatever he wants and feels comfortable in. Really weird to see people complaining about it, that's not that big of a deal and he still looks great.

I don't recall Mick ever down talked Keith as guitar player. Also, Mick often seems closed and reserved in his interviews but what he always says is Keith actually is very good songwriter. He used to belittle his own part in songwriting process to praise Keith's. "Keith writes all the songs, I just help him sometimes", "Keith does everything, I just fill in" etc. I r

Not "official" Stones member but still. Marianne got her tattoo in early 1967 while in Italy with Mick. Always wondered how he reacted since it was not fancy neither common back then for a young lady to have one.

Mick and Marianne went to USA in early July for Beggars Banquet sessions and stayed there for the rest of the month so I guess July can be excluded. As for Mick and Parsons "never hit it off",did not Mick say in one of his interviews that Gram was one of few people who really taught him to sing country music? That takes some great connection and does not sound like they never hit off.

Thank godness Mick never cared about petty morals or we would have never had the Rolling Stones we love. But kinda funny that there are people here who could have easily joined the group that bashed Mick and the Stones in that old post trial interview

As for Helsinki, maybe Mick was unhappy since those times they got dogs to search them with. That was a joke. I was upset that Helsinki was excluded too. It's just 4 hours ride from where I am.

As for Brian's style, I think he looked great but not that special for those times. Look at the pictures of the crowd in Swingin' 60s, you'll see lot of young men and women wearing same style. What I thought was really a bomb, was Jagger's red military jacket in 1966. Too bad we did not see it enough in color.

Well actually we know as the FACT that Mick and Keith both were capable of carrying on the band successfully through decades, and who knows about Brian. Who knows what could he have done, but from what WE KNOW he was not able to focus on anything long enough to succeed big time without Mick and Keith. The rest is either wishful thinking or speculation.
