Actually much of that can be lessened. It's sounding pretty good on headphones and the last little bits of swirlyness I'm declaring to be part of it's appeal. A feature not a hindrance. lol At it's best this may be the best capture of the tour.

A taper in the sweet spot with a nice digital recorder with internal microphones can get a recording superior to someone with external mics and all the rest sitting in a bad location. Too bad we don't have another transfer of this show. It's a great show and it was recorded pretty well but long before the Captain worked on it the audio was seriously abused. lol Horrible compression and what we have has mp3 in the lineage. It's kind of disguised here but it's still there. We could use a nice recording of it that nobody has done anything bad to.

Yes, this is lossy. The lowest bit rate mp3 can be turned into a flac file but it will still be lossy. flac does not = lossless.
