Before I was even in Kindergarten yet, I can remember being in my parents basement listening to Endless Summer over and over and over again on 8-Track. Endless Summer, Some Girls and the soundtrack to The Buddy Holly Story were the soundtrack to my young life.

Replacing Bob was hard to do, but Slim was a perfect fit for the Mats. The only member that actually had a driver's license.

Off topic but seeing that Little Richard picture made me think of this. Ever hear a Fats Domino song like I Wanna Walk You Home and just think Rock and Roll is at its best when it's stripped down to its most simple form?

As far as Oasis goes, I like Oasis. I graduated from High School in 94 and College in 98. But Oasis was a very polar band where U'm from in Illinois. You either loves them or gated them and the hate seemed to out number the love. Once Oasis broke up, I never heard much about them. I was a bit surprised that the reunion got so much attention on this site. Again, perhaps it's a Geography

Currently I'd I agree Dave Grohl is probably the last true rock star and I'll even throw in that Taylor Hawkins was probably the last non front man from a band that most people knew. Only problem for me is...The Foo Fighters are the one band I wished I like more than I do. Just vanilla and bland to me. Couldn't sit through a Foo concert but I wish I could. I can't help of

I feel like this thread should be renamed "Excluding the largest Music Star in the world right now, why aren't there Rock Stars". I'm going to add to my earlier comment. Another issue is Rock fans don't even support new bands. Greta Van Fleet could have been that next big Rock Band but all you heard was Zeppelin/Plant rip off and they got a ton of hate from older ro

Complete lack of new Rock Music is the culprit. Can't have rock stars if there really isn't contemporary rock bands. Rock music as the forefront of popular music went out about 20 years ago. Hip Hop, Pop and Country past Rock a long time ago. Times change and music tastes have changed. Unfortunately Rock just isn't as popular these days.

Gaslight- Yes, Starkville has a large college football stadium too. Somehow Oxford popped into my head first. Jackson probably would be the first thought of promoters but Oxford and Starkville have the outdoor football stadiums. They played Legion field in Birmingham Alabama in 89 and 94 both.

Especially in 94 when they did a lot of College Football Stadiums. The Grove in Oxford would have been fun.

I think as far as Chicago 1 goes, if you are going to have She’s a Rainbow win the song vote, you can't follow it with Wild Horses. You need Monkey Man, Bitch, SFM, or something fast face to bring the energy back up. Wild Horses just killed the energy of Chicago 1. Light bouncy Rainbow followed by Wild Horses just didn't work. Chicago 2 had Shattered followed by Dead Flowers in the same

It was nice that the Stones didn't conclude touring in the U.S. with the 2021 tour. That was a somber one, postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, Charlie passing, always found Living in a Ghost Town as a somber reminder of 2020. This tour had the energy of a band moving forward and onward. New album tracks brought lots of energy. Keith and Ronnie played with lots of energy. Mick turns 81 soo

Is there a chance there was no soundcheck? Indy 2015 there was no soundcheck because of the venue. Not sure this venue is soundcheck friendly either.

Respectfuly disagree. The 2 Chicago shows look amazing as do the LA shows. I haven't watched any others besides Glendale but that looked and sounded great. I will also add that I appreciate every complete video and audio recording we get! THANK YOU to everyone who films and records. I unfortunately have to add if you yourself are not filming or recording the entire show.....maybe best not to

QuoteProfessorWolf you know instead of following the pattern of miss you one night midnight rambler the next why not just play cyhmk instead they did rehearse it and it would work pretty well in that spot in the setlist I think this would be a great way to end a great tour. The Miss You/Rambler spot in the setlist is really the perfect place to insert CYHMK.

I mean, how long is Samantha Fish gonna play, 15-20 minutes? This can't be right. If this was a free private show for Bass Pro employees then I could see a shorter set, but this was sold to the general public. Hope everyone who goes has fun (I have a co worker going for free because her husband is high up at Bass Pro) but this just looks like a mess. Hope I'm wrong though!
