Think I'll drop out of this thread for a little while and I'll get back on board when it gets to about page 170, may be something to actually comment on then.

Very disappointing... Nice clear picture, but the camera angles just focus on the heads so you never get a glimpse of the full show, needed a wider angle camera to have some input. Looks like it is the film of what was shown on the screens at the concert, so that people could watch the spectacle but see the close ups on the screens.

QuoteTurner68 I just had this vision of Ronnie wood putting a band together touring as the Rolling Stones 20 years from now, he is the youngest one after all and full of energy. I can almost see the first tour where he takes on lead vocal responsibility now. He would do a great JJF. When he's 88?

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteRollingFreak QuoteDeanGoodman 20 years too late. People are more interested in Taylor Swift's various feuds. Not to forget Steven Adler either, the not-so-secret weapon behind Appetite. Both his book and Slash's were better than Duff's, who is a great guy and underutilized singer. Slash's book was terrible, and I love Slash to death. But his book

Quotestones2000 QuoteRollingFreak Personally I love Roy Bittan but I understand if he's not really rock and roll enough. They aren't coming to me now but there's nothing like some great rock and roll piano in a song. Never heard of Roy Bittan... Never heard of the professor?

Quoteletitloose Quoterbk I can't go to a show for the hits over and over again and Neil's output in the last decade has been abominable at best. Glad you enjoyed it though. When he's been bad, he's been bloody awful this past decade (fork in the road etc). But I really liked the non orchestral Storytone, and thought Physchedelic pill was a masterpiece. Before that Chrome Dr

U2 used to make albums that grew on you the more you listened to them, but the last couple have not been like that despite trying to get into the latest album after over a year I don't find it a memorable listen, a bit like No line on The Horizon, but at least that did have a couple of "growers" Have seen U2 many time, always a good live show, although this tour does seem a lot

I've seen Clapton a few times over the years, always enjoyed the concert, however the last time I saw him, 2003 or 4 in Birmingham, I was dissapointed, he seemed as if he was doing the audience a favour and didn't even acknowledge the crowd once. Haven't bothered since

You Got Me Rocking or Mixed Emotions or Love is Strong 3. It's Only Rock'n'Roll or If You Can't Rock Me 4. Tumbling Dice or All Down the Line or Rocks Off or Rip this Joint 5. Ruby Tuesda

I would say that you needed to be part of the integral band when they were a recording band. They have released new 3 albums in 20 years, they are now mainly a live band so all the additional musicians are mainly there to supplement the live sound. Apart from the original 5, Mick Taylor was in the band for the "classic" album phase and Ronnie Wood has been there since 1975 (39 years)
