If youre inclined towards Barrett era Floyd or Sgt. Pepper/Magical Mystery Tour Beatles, the 2 LP "Gift from A Flower to A Garden" is a must. Sums up the whole UK psych vibe as well as any record of the period. Its aged surprising well. You've got to pick up every stitch.....

1978 Roanoke Civic Center- I went with a couple other college longhairs, higher than the proverbial Georgia pine to see BB King with Bobby Blue Bland opening- to our surprise it was a 90% older black audience in formal wear (gowns, tuxedos)- one of the best shows I've ever seen and a treasured memory- peace and God bless this great American.

Gotta agree with the naysayers- no Plonk and no Mac, Rods voice is shot -whats the point? Feeling just about the same about any Kinks reunion prospects these days. Persuaded to go last summer, anticipated a tired Zep retread mixed with some of his 80's stuff which I didnt like too much and hasnt aged well in my opinion, possibly lots of screeching and posing- was I ever wrong.
