Quotecyclist I'm a little worried about taking CalTrain after the show. Anyone have experience with that? There's a shuttle bus (from a private company) that goes from the Marina district in San Francisco to the stadium and back: The company, Mride, has good reviews, but I've never taken them. I've heard the bus is fun, also had a friend that couldn't find it aft

Quotecyclist Just got email confirmation from Levi's Stadium that curfew is 10pm. Hoping that the opener starts earlier. Not much new info here, but I agree, it is nearly certain that they will break the 10pm curfew:

QuoteMKjan Quotekv2915 What is the next best hotel option besides Pasadena? Burbank? Glendale? Just me, I'd rather be in Glendale. More amusing and safe, and a little closer to Pasadena. I'm staying at the Hilton in Glendale, looks like those hotels are full or filling up now too though.

Quoteslewan QuoteDandelionPowderman Quoteslewan Quotefalo01 Rehearsals: T.dice and Rainbow this comes hardly as a surprise… (Rainbow is a rather poor song vote choice – especially since the use some pre-recorded stuff on that song) How do you know that Matt isn't playing it? the uuhlalauhlala-part?? To my ears it's not played to a track. Sasha and Bernard cover that part, with

I personally don't think it's a charade. All the songs they put up for vote so far seem to have been rehearsed or played in recent tours and easy enough to work up at sound check. Since they link to the poll across all their social media platforms I just think a large number of casual fans vote. Especially since there is a ticket giveaway associated with it, I think some internet pe

Quotebv I am following up some comments in the Philadelphia 2019 live show thread regarding the set lists... In the "old days" i.e. until 2007, The Rolling Stones used to rehearse for a couple of months, lately in Toronto in the summer. Then they made a new/changed set list based on what they liked on every tour, and they toured that set list for 100 or more shows, typically worldwid

QuoteJTHanis QuoteWinning Ugly VXII Quotebv I don't understand those who complain about set lists without going to the show. It is like complaining about a beer - how it looks like - without tasking it. I guess it is the dream of another band. The Rolling Stones have been masters of repeating the same set list for every show, all the tours they have done, in the past the very same songs

Quotelem motlow Got home last night- Drove down to NOLA on Friday thinking a tropical storm wasn’t gonna change things. (Thanks to our GasLight Street for the real weather story all along) Had a great time down in the Quarter,it wasn’t busy but the clubs that were open had sort unofficial hurricane parties going. Staff at our Hotel and the rest of the locals were giving the media hype a hu

Quotebv The Superdome was cold inside. I had my wool sweater as backup, and kept it on through the show. Show day Monday July 15 was the most humid day of all the eight days I spent in NOLA. The windows of my hotel were wet outside from the humidity, and aircondition inside. It stayed humid all day. I am super sensitive to humidity, and I could not stay outside in NOLA that day. That is why I sta

Quotesteffialicia Quoteiraq0708 QuoteGasLightStreet Quotemuncy23 Quotesteffialicia Do you actually think your "performance" in any area is going to be the same at 75 as it is at 30, 40, 50, 60? Keeping that in mind, why bother seeing them live any longer? In your view, they are clearly not up to the standard you expect. I believe that this tour is one of their last, if not their last

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotemuncy23 QuoteGasLightStreet Sat at the top of the dome at the end (it's lower than the sides in terms of the football field), just to the left of the middle of the stage, and the sound was quite quiet up there so it was easy to hear everything. They sounded good. Midnight Rambler was the best song of the night. Paint It Black had a very weird vibe to it - it was

Ronnie's Angie solos in '76 are (mostly) epic! Also more recently, loved his guitar work on Don't Stop. He is a crucial part of the sound of the live Stones to me. I have tried to work out some of the rhythm parts and textures he layers in the mix and they are often complex, and definitely not standard or textbook chords and phrasing. Inimitable!!!

To do an acoustic set on the b-stage they probably have to run the monitors super loud to overpower the delayed sound coming from the main stage due to the distance. It used to work on the other tours because the guitar players had amps there and mick, Darryl and chuck are on in ears. I’m really curious how it will sound.
