QuoteTheflyingDutchman Quotehbwriter Ben Waters LOL (JK) What's your problem? At least Ben Waters is honest about his mistakes. He's only human. Always answers to all his fans on facebook, even private messages. it's called a....... "joke" (hence the "LOL" and the "JK" -'just kidding') sorry you were not able to figure that out and hope

Quotebv Once you test positive, it is important to take action. I am not that worried about Mick's health, he is fit and fine, but the fact that a revenue loss per show show is in the size of USD 10 million means they need him to get well as soon as possible, with minimum side effects like laryngitis. EXACTLY

More from Ben Waters: "Mick Jagger is okay!!! Just tested positive for covid and NOT IN HOSPITAL!! I shouldn’t listen to gossip on the way out, everyone was so worried, glad to hear he is okay!! They were fantastic in Liverpool and we can’t wait to see them again. Sorry to have worried anyone unduly" Dude- GET OFF SOCIAL MEDIA FOR NOW - you don't know if he is "okay!!"

Quoteslewan Quotehbwriter Quoteslewan cancelling a show two or three hours before show time? has this ever happend before? very weird- why would they test right before show ? makes little sense unless he is symptomatic- hope he's ok! well, quite the opposite. I makes sense to test shortly before you get in close contact with other people looks like he had symptoms which prompted the te

"It’s 1977, and Mick Jagger is sitting down for an intimate dinner in the port city of Bodrum, Turkey. He’s vacationing on the coast with Atlantic Records president Ahmet Ertegun, and about to meet the evening’s final — and most anticipated — guest: Turkey’s bedazzled, belly-dancing answer to Liberace; a man whose platform heels paved the way for everyone from Bowie to the Spice Girls: Zeki

Received an advance copy today of Bill's new book and it is STUNNING. New stories, new photos; impossible to put down - even if you have the first edition, this version is essential. For me, Under Their thumb, along with Nakering with the Rolling Stones (Phelpge) and The True Adventures of the Rolling Stones (Booth) are the three definitive first-person narratives about the band.

I think the only real film/video footage of Jagger in 1974 are the IORR promo videos -but months before those were shot - in March, Jagger was on hand (along with Lennon,. Reagan, Sinatra and MANY other stars) to pay tribute to James Cagney in Los Angeles at the Hilton - At 2:13 we see Mick Ali McGraw (Steve McQueen in is the house, too). Enjoy

from a friend of mine who was at this particular show - "I hear some people complaining that the mix/production don't capture the "intimacy" of the event a la Love You Live. But understand, being there, it was LOUD, they sounded BIG and this current release brings me right back into that room. I LOVE the production on this record because it's truly accurate to what we fel

I think "stripped down" refers to the environment, mood and vibe-- coming off of two years of shows that started with the trumpets heralding Fanfare for Common Man- the excess- the battleship size stages- the ATTITUDE was stripped down- and it shows in the brilliance of the performances

Quoteretired_dog QuoteVoodooLounge13 Quotehbwriter One other gush of emotion/realization for the morning - I keep trying to figure out why this record, beyond just the impressive performances, is affecting me as it is. I think part of it is, we are hearing them shed one version of themselves as they prepare for a new stripped-down phase - the "untouchable yet out of touch" arena ban

I swear I'm losing it over this record...Charlie's driving of Hand of Fate - the steam engine of this crazy train - my eyes literally well with tears... I always thought I knew how much I loved this band... now I'm not so sure.

Weirdly, another track that sparkles for me is HTW - by then, it had become, for me anyway, kind of a lazy, meandering, unfocused party opener - good, but often lifeless. Here, it's tight but also somehow loose, intense, fat-free and an electrifying reminder as the night begins - "Yes, we are still the Rolling Stones."

Wyman's playing on the last chorus of Star Star is beyond inspired- he takes the entire band performance to a new level- it's thrilling - and Hand of Fate is like a roller coaster with no safety bar - exhilerating I've never been a huge fan of the '76 live stuff- it's ok- but like '75 on a lot more cocaine - I like Knebworth - but I am obsessed with El Macambo

Route 66 just leaves me speechless - to hear them swing like that - I love what Ronnie brings to a tune they first nailed with Brian - I was at a dinner once with Bobby Troop, who wrote the song "Route 66." He'd never heard this version by the Stones - I had the bootleg 1976 show in my car and so I played it for Bobby - at the end he just smiled and said - "WOW - that's o
