Of course, the Four Flicks box set is unbeatable!!! The Biggest Bang is ok, but it's no Four Flicks. And it wouldn't make much sense releasing a 4 DVD box set only in advance to a single one, no matter how good it is, would it? The Biggest Bang was just a failed attempt to repeat Four Flicks, but it has its good moments tough...

QuoteolorinFor the artwork of Lost Legal Live Tracks. Some songs are on Rarities album and I extract some others for Four Flicks DVD. Though I am not interested in 1989/90 tour, the stuff from 1995 club shows seems very interesting ! It's easy to get those then. Thery're all in Stripped Companion, one of my essential bootlegs. Tumbing Dice and Live with Me are already on Rarities

How did an old "let's bash Keith" thread ended being like reading a gossip & fashion magazine? Don't know which option is worse but this could be fun though... Any comments on the bride's dress or Ronnie's suit?

Keith looks like he's 175 years old since 1997, so I'm not worried yet. And yes, Patti looks great in the picture. The Beauty and the Beast?

Well, I'm afraid we have a little disagreement here! I think Chuck's a great musician and his style fits with the Stones quite well. And I like the fact that as a "musical director", it's been stated that he pushes the band to include rare songs in the set lists when he's got the chance. That can't be bad! Anyway, it's just a matter of taste, so al

Ok, if anybody is interested in my list or if it could be of some use for you, olorin, here they are my must have bootlegs. I'm sure all the experts will be familiar with these. Beginning with studio rarities and outtakes, I only can name a few. There's so much stuff out there that contains the same sessions and recordings that sometimes it's not easy to choose. But "Clean

For me, always soundboard. Exceptionally, audience. For example, I've been at that particular show, I like to have the recording. I don't see the point in collecting every show from every tour with crappy sound. Soundboards from radio or tv broadcasts are excellent these days, and there are usually a couple of representative concerts from every tour recorded this way: BBC sess

Yeah, this is a classic performance, I've always loved it. VMA, september 1994 in NY, right? And pretty easy to find on the net also. I bet it must be posted somewhere on the Buy/Sell/Trade section. If not, give a few days and I'll post it myself.

Mick's silouette is quiete iconic itself as Justin said. An ageless and recognizable image for sure. Maybe is a screen capture from the movie? Because I tought I recognized the album cover when watching the movie, with Mick on the same exact position as in the picture...

Can't remember well. But probably, the first thing I listened to closely was an old vinyl single that was my father's. It was Brown Sugar on the A side and Bitch on the B side. Not bad at all! Still I have that one, and that old mono mix sounds just thunderous!!!

This kind of lists are always a disapointment, I don't believe in them. Stairway to heaven with the best solo ever? C'mon, who said that? great song, great riff, great lyrics nut standard solo, very good, but standard... And Tunnel of Love by Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler? I've have liked that one more than Sultans of Swing... And it's never in any list. I guess

QuoteKing SnakeGood, yes, but better every day? Charlie's drumming on the Steel Wheels tour was incredible. He's a constant factor, and that's what makes him great. That's funny, because when I decided to open this thread I was listening to some bootlegs from the Steel Wheels tour. And I sort of miss the swinging feeling we can hear now on the drums. When I listen to the

Well, I was posting my opinion about him in another post wich goes as it follows: While there's been a lot of discussion about Keith, Ronnie or even Mick losing it in the last tours, I think one thing is for sure (at least for me): Charlie is not playing as good as usual... he's playing better everyday!!! I think since Licks Tour, he plays with more swing and power than ever. S

For me, Mr. Watts alone brought new life to Start Me Up since Licks (If I remember it well) just by drumming with a little more swing. I Just love the way he plays on that particular one, hitting hard off beat in between guitar riffs, more fluent than in previous versions when he just played a regular 4x4 beat. Killer SMU versions in Licks and SAL. Maybe there should be a new thread about C

So-so album. The production is not that bad. I like the anger in Mick's vocals and Ronnie's songs and "Sleep Tonight" lift up the album, but there are many fillers wich happen to be some of the worst Stones songs ever IMO. Back to Zero? Glad I have forgotten that one! And the cover... Oh, my God... The comic in the artwork wasn't bad though, very nasty.

Yeah, the one and only Ronnie Wood. The guy who made me discover the Stones!!! When I was 14 or so, I saw Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversary Concert at Madison Square Garden on TV. Somebody announced: "And now, a great friend of mine... MR. RONNIE WOOD!" Mmmm... ok, let's see who is this. I saw this skinny guy, with his hair straight up and dressed in black and yellow playi

Aerosmith!!! Great band indeed... Too bad after "Get a Grip" they seemed to lose something along the way. Nobody, big audiences I mean, cared about "Nine Lives". Then they got back to ballads and more "poppy" songs. Somehow, they didn't hit the charts like they did a few years before. "Honkin' on Bobo" didn't feel like the return

Lots of them! Despite the Internet, I'm still spending a great deal of money in buying actual CD's. Damn, I need a better payed job!!! The last ones: - James Brown: Star Time 4CD Box-Set. - Van Morrison: Still on Top: The Gratest Hits [3CD Edition]. - Bob Dylan: The Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3, Biograph, Under the Red Sky, Blood on the Tracks . - Whitesnake: The Silver Anniver

Very cool pictures indeed. I think during the ABB tour Keef & Ronnie dusted a lot of old and cool guitars and I'm glad they did! I remember the Barcelona concert, Ronnie played no less than 8-10 different guitars. I liked to see both guitarists playing Dan Armstrongs in SFTD for example. And for whar I've seen from gigs I've been in or watched, they didn't have a
