All I can say is that I Love Ronnie's cotribution. And all the guitar players that have been in the Stones had their moments. Brian Jones, Mick Taylor and Ronnie define different eras with the band and each era had its ups and downs, better or worse albums and better or worse live gigs. I don't think its fair to compare them all the time. As for now, Ronnie is the guitar player a

My experience watching the B2B tour in barcelona in '98 was a bit of a let down because Voodoo had been so great and when they returned to Spain some of you may remember there had been cancellations due to Mick's throat problems and Keith's broken rib. So when they finally showed up, I missed some punch in the music. Maybe they were not completely recovered. And Ronnie was total

Quoteslew Techniaclly Knopfler is ahead but its not all about technically played guitar when it comes to any of the Stines work. But the man's got taste and style too. I've always considered he's a bit underrated among the rock purists, wich amazes me since he's always been rooted in blues, country, folk and classic 70's rock. And not only as a guitar player.

"Seven Days" live version from Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration, two great solos by Ronnie actually, weaving with Steve Cropper on the second one and a beautiful organ solo by Booker T. in the middle. That's Ronnie at his best.

I'm very fond of Marah. Great band, greats songs and great live act. Other guys that I also dig quite a lot are the swedish rock band Diamond Dogs. Always a good night of rock in Stones/Faces/classic Rod Stewart fashion. They never disappointed me. Strongly recommended. And of course AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

Quoteskipstone Based on what melio77 said, The Rolling Stones should stop. Artistic integrity instead of making the money. Which I agree with, especially after watching all of The Biggest Bang. Ok, but let's make clear that I didn't mean that!

Hi guys and girls. It's been a long time since I don't post anything. Hope you are behaving yourselves... All this Led Zep thing got me a bit puzzled. You know, respecting all opinions, I'm one of those who couldn't see the Zeppelin in their days because I wasn't even born and nothing could please me more than a reunion tour but... We spend most of the time deman

The highest quality for an audience shot gig you can get, that's for sure. Thanks Ludwig, I've been wanting this one and rapidshare works better for me. It brings me joyful memories as I was at both Barcelona and Madrid shows. You and Mr. Urbansteel are always delivering the goods. Keep rolling! By the way, for those who always want to know all the details about the record

After a long time, I bought myself a copy of the 2002 ABKCO Remaster of "Got Live If You Want It!". I always was delaying it 'cause everybody criticizes the album for it's bad recording, the muddy sound, the two studio songs as fake live, etc. But I Loved it! I love the album for the raw energy, the fast tempos, the almost punk attitude that emanates... IMO, an album

The funniest thing to me is that the same authorities that banned some Stones songs for a regular private gig in an arena for considering them "dirty" and "unaproppiate", now hire Jimmy Page for playing one of R&R's most sexually explicit songs in a packed stadium, for one of the world's most massive events to be broadcasted globally... Is that some sort of ir

Well, I always carry one of my two zippo lighters with the tongue logo myself. A purple one with a Voodoo Lounge Spiked Tongue stamped on it or my favourite, a glittering red one with the regular logo in black & white on it. And of course I got the regular logo on the screen of my cell phone and a jean bag with the 1973 Tour dragon sticking out the Stones tongue. So I guess everybody

The soul background vocals and harmonies on If You Really Want to Be My Friend or Let it Loose come to my mind right now. Or the unreleased Drift Away. Worried About You on the Four Flicks DVD too. Any version of Shine A Light (except on the SAL soundtrack). I think the melody on the Biggest Band DVD provided by mick in the duet with Bonnie Raitt is quite cool... And may more I can'

My guess is that we'll see the vaults open sooner or later. The Stones are probably the only band from their generation that lacks a proper box-set compiling their hits along with true rarities and live albums from their classic years. But on the other hand, I think they are being pretty smart not openig the vaults yet. Their bussines is the live act. As long as the Stones have the mos

Totally agree on almost everything. But in my opinion, No Use in Crying is a highlight. Beautiful song and a fine contribution by Woody btw... One of those forgotten gems lost in time. The good thing about the Stones records is that you can always "rediscover" lots of obscure songs that weren't singles or made it in the charts. No Use in Crying, If You Really Want to Be My F
