"Meanwhile, despite their ongoing mega-tour, the Rolling Stones saw A Bigger Bang, their first studio album in eight years, fall from Number Three to Twelve (63,000) in its second week." Not so bad after all, I say a pretty decent second week because there are 7 new entries in the Top 10! ABB has sold 192,000 copies in US to date.

Here is another source for world sales, and it seems more comprehensive than Mediatraffic. As we know, this last source covers 25 countries and Bigger Bang debuted #1 there with 396k during the first week, not including Japan sales from the previous week of release. The other source, "Hit List", covers more than 40 countries, with more "realistic" stats but not always 100%

>>GEORGELICKS WAIT A MINUTE! I remember a post of yours. You wrote "310,000 in 7 countries", rihgt? So how the hell are ONLY 396,000 worldwide? Unless this total number cames from the 7-8 biggest markets only. Is that the explanation? Japan's first week numbers are out of the count, because the album was released 5 days before than the rest of the world. During this tim

Of course, the album will remain there during months but without important airplay I don't expect positions on the Top 100 during more than 10 weeks. B2B dropped of the Top 100 after 14 weeks with 3 singles in the rock chart and a tour behind.

- Maybe the GREAT, IMPRESSIVE, MAGNIFICENT and SMART idea of putting the WHOLE album available online on the official website is not that GREAT, IMPRESSIVE, MAGNIFICENT and SMART idea after all. - Maybe because the right release date was on Aug. 23 with the tour hype. The US #1 album during that week only sold 101k. Who the hell will release an album two weeks after the tour start? Only th
