I remember seeing an interview online with Mick talking about his androgyny to an American interviewer during the Voodoo tour. He basically says that he played the cards he was dealt. He is very effeminate and he could either choose to ignore it or use it to his advantage. He talks a little about classical beauty and how that was an influence on him too. He recognises that in the late teens a

Anyone got a link for this collection? Preferably on Megaupload/Gigasize. The links I found aren't working. I'm dying to get to hear some of this stuff.

Cheers for that bustedtrousers. I can't wait to get home and get started on downloading them. I have to agree with Amused I'm getting lost in the '77/'78 stuff. So much creativity at that point.

Anyone got the link for this five disc bootleg? I'm looking for it everywhere but no luck so far.

Thanks for all the suggestions lads but what I'd really love is some links to out-takes of tracks they did in Paris in the Marconi studios. I think that's right. Loads of unreleased songs from the Some Girls/Emotional rescue sessions but I can't find them. Any ideas? Also I'm having trouble downloading Disc 4 of Handsome Girls. I got the first three from a great post on H

Finally got the ability to download stuff off the Hot Stuff section. Downloaded Handsome Girls this afternoon and I've got it blasting as I type. Can anyone recommend bootlegs of rare or never released tracks particulary from the mid-late seventies but really anything that's not officially released. Even classic concert stuff. All help appreciated as I'm itching to go!

Has anyone else been watching this on BBC? Very poorly made from my point of view but I can't help but wonder how Keith was left off the list of greatest guitar players despite of his being mentioned throughout the show. Anyone else voted on this?

I remember Mick discussing Marc and T-Rex in an interview with the BBC to promote Exile in 1972. Great interview with a very relaxed Mick. He said that he'd caught Marc's act in a ballroom in L.A. and described it as "Okay". He didn't put him down which I think the interviewer was setting him up to do. The interviewer seemed to imply that Marc Bolan and indeed Glam Ro

Hello everyone I'm looking for any Cds of both the 1978 concerts and the rare bootleg stuff like Handsome Girls etc. I don't have the chance to burn them from torrents etc so I'm hoping some kind soul has them for sale. I would be very willing to pay for them. All help/advice appreciated. Cheers.

I always enjoyed when Mick used to perform with his microphone stand. Very powerful stuff. I understand the stage has gotten bigger and he needs to move around more but he could incorporate some of it back into the show. It would look less like an aerobics lesson then.

I did see that but it hardly constitutes a "cameo appearance" listing on the cover.

The DVD advertises Mick as having a cameo appearance. I've skimmed the entire thing twice and can't see him anywhere. Any clues?

Anyone know where I can pick up some motown record sleeves for my old 45's. The old orange or dark green ones inparticular.

I have to agree. I love Hours, too. I think it's a very emotional album. Lot's of regret and nostalgia (themes rarely explored in pop music). It's maybe his most beautifully recorded latter album. Really gorgeous. Thursday's Child, Survive, Seven,The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell and Dreaming My Life Away are my particular favourites. The Storytellers CD/DVD combo is a

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Nikolai, I pretty much gave up on Bowie uh...I don't even know, ages ago. But I always respect him. So you say "Outside" is a good album? Palace, you can never give up on Bowie. He always has something to offer. Outside is an amazing album. It might take some time to get into but once you get it it's a masterpiece. Heathen is also a must have.

Does this bother anyone else? I realise he has been living in the States since the late 70's and this may account for some of it (although Bowie still speaks with his Bromley accent) but even as early as the late 60's he seemed to be affecting an accent not his own. Using words like "cats" and "man". I think he believes that this gives him a connection to his blues

Quick question about the forthcoming reissue. I can see two links on Amazon for this must-have item but only the first link gives all the info on what the package will contain: CD Package with 3 CDs and 1 DVD: A second link offers this: Does this second link contain everything including the CDs,DVDs,and LPs all in one? If so I'll get buying now.

I'm curious as to how people actually get to meet them. I live in Ireland and don't mix in celebrity circles. So a chance meeting with a Stone is highly unlikely (although Mick and Marianne did stay in a local house in the Sixties). I am also not the type of fan who would spend hours outside hotels/houses/offices to meet them. I'd like to see them in a meet and greet situation

Mick Woodmansey on drums. Bowie would not have been such a hit had it not been for the spiders. Remember too Ronno and Trevor Bolder.

I also think the Thin White Duke was his greatest character. So icy and detached he proved that topping Ziggy was never a problem.

I've recently decided to track down some of my favourite old Motown albums from the 1960s on CD. This is not proving the easiest task. Can anyone suggest a good site that would be of any help? Also I'm desperately looking for Dolly Parton's "The Fairest of Them All" album from 1970 on CD. Anyone got any ideas? All help would be greatly appreciated.

Why should Mick not associate with her. She was a fellow artist. Should we all only associate with people whose political/social views we agree with. I'd love to have met Leni and asked her all about @#$%&, Goering, Goebbels, etc. It's fascinating.
