It's going to be tough group with 4 equal teams. OK Portugal might be a favourite, but we'll see.

Yes, Holland is always a great team - one of the best in the world, but players like Seedorf & Davids could be needed when playing against Argentina and Ivory Coast. IC could be a big surprise this year with Drogba, 2 Toures etc. "However, I am wondering, will they play Serbia or Montenegro?" Both this last time, but there's only one player from Montenegro involved- the g

I hope France will win. Thierry Henry is in top form and he's the best player in the world right now. + Zidane, Trezeguet, Cisse, Saha, Wiltord, Vieira, Makelele, Diarra, Ribery, Dhorasoo, Malouda, Boumsong, Abidal, Gallas, Silvestre, Thuram, Givet, Sagnol, Chimbonda, Coupet, Landreau, Barthez Only Brazil can compete in material.

> maybe they stopped being influenced by popular culture due to their status On the same line and on addition wish they'd do more creative stuff too nowadays. For example MAWGJ from Bridges and LWTCDI from ABB are just superb. From 70'ies for example Slave, Hey Negrita, CYHMK... this kind of stuff + traditional Stones = Heaven (which was not the best possible experiment though..

> "I'm a big Stones fan but they haven't done > anything that matches their earlier stuff in > years." DG has forgotten that Stones means today a lot more than just music. He should remember how much those guys have influenced in the attitudes all over the world during four decades and how much the world has changed during that time. (And yes, Stones have done

>It was very very dirty, but also very very perfect (78) Yes, agreed 100%. That's why word cleaner had apostrophes. I think Keith & Ron played better, sounded better and made less mistakes in 78 although the sound was very punk and raw. But Mick did much better job in 81 - Or that's a matter of taste, but surely it was something new then and a huge risk, I think. After 81 they h

Have to be lack of drugs - especially in Mick's case Yes, true that there's no more "relaxed reggae sounding or hippie-influenced" (which I like a lot too) Mick in 81, but it was not so "sharped" yet than later years in the 90'ies.

My opinion is that the band played better (or "cleaner") in 1978 tour, but all in all I like 1981 tour more because it was something whole different than before and the athmosphere in those gigs were just unique. Better than ever I think (don't like that teenage screaming of the 60'ies as much ... neither those "dark" early ages of the 70'ies although the band
