Mick's singing better than ever??? Strange thing to read! From what I've heard from the boots form this tour, Mick's singing is mostly quite flat, and he's obviously saving his voice not to loose it - postpone-/cancel shows etc. There's hardly any growling and his voice has definitely become thinner since 1990 - 95 as well. We should have a designated thread discussing th

Hi! I agree on everything The Imposter wrote above, I suppose. Especially the MJ vocal-part. Talk about being careful with one's voice! No risk take there. Mind, some growl, or ac the Imposter puts it "grit" in his vocals came back before the Licks tour. Out Of Control on the Bridges tour had a bit of vocal muscle. Anyway, these weak, or lazy, or more correct, careful vocal deli

It's miles from being good enough to be in the top 15 of the greatest Stones-albums imo. Who are you to tell me I'm not a fan just because I don't think "ABB ROCKS&

The quality on most of the songs are much better than those on Dirty Work, apart from One Hit and Harlem Shuffle. Undercover Of The Night from Atlantic City 1989 is better than the original, and proves that this can be a killer live number. They haven't played it, or Jagger definitively hasn't sung it the same way, as good and raw, since the 1989 tour, as far as I am concerned.

One Hit, Harlem Shuffle and Sleep Tonight are all first class. Mick even sings those to former tracks great, which is rather exceptional during this period. The rest is quite forgettable, in my opinion. Mind Mick's singing during 1985; he sang real great with suitable doses of growling during the Live Aid concert. Strange thing then, that he overdoes it way over the top on most of Dirty W

Best year musically, image etc, 1972. Most important year is something else, and then I'd go for 1964, 1968 og 1969.

That harmonica on that version occasionally sounds like pure feeling. And the sound of it hasn't been beaten since; not even in 1972. Great!

1978 without a doubt. 1997 better than the sampled harmonica during Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle, although 89/90 had lot's of great moments!

I love the Steel Wheels one. The '75 one was also very cool. Anyone knows why the dropped it for the '76 tour? buchie wrote "To me the Steel Wheels Stage was the most impressive I ever saw (london 90)." Yed indeed, but the Steel Wheels stage was not used in Europe '90. The not equaly great Urabn Jungle was-, as you wrote yourself further down in your e-mail.
