Some folks seem to be almost assuming that the tour is not going to be disrupted to any large degree and are hoping for only the first week or so to be affected . It would be nice if this were the case..but it's not very realistic. To be fair to RS.Com ....they can only tell folks what they actually know. Anything else would be speculatory...and we know all about speculation ! Wheth

From some Austrian paper I think. Another paragraph in the "Keith Myths and Legends" directory ;^) THE ROLLING STONES guitarist KEITH RICHARDS has such a fan in JOHNNY DEPP, he asks the Hollywood star to wear in his shoes in for him. And the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN actor, who famously drew on Richard's trademark appearance for his role as CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW, is happy to he

The 94-95 version reverted to the acoustic workout...hence the original tuning and vibe. You couldn't do an "unplugged" version in the electric tuning and key. It would sound very thin and weak.

They were using a lot of Mesa amps on stage at the time...with a thicker and smoother cascading gain sound than the traditional Fenders used before and after that period.

Sorry, a little off topic ..but the funniest thing I spotted at the Twickers gigs on the last tour was all the rugby fans knicking bits of grass and turf from around the edges of the pitch covering. Priceless ;^)

As regards Keith's attire... Don't forget that the climate in NZ is essentially temperate... and that it's currently the equivalent of mid November in the UK ;^)

You mean like Woody helped do for Eric with the Rainbow Concert ? I think Ronnie will be busy enough as it is...the tour delay is looking increasingly likely to be a couple of weeks only [...touch Wood ;^) ]

English Daily Mirror 16 May 2006 GOOD KEEF! Brain op rocker Richards looks better than ever By Cameron Robertson KEITH Richards has been given the all-clear by doctors following brain surgery. The Rolling Stone, 62, wearing a cap to cover his bandaged head, looked healthier than usual as he left hospital with wife Patti, 50, yesterday. His son Marlon, 36, confirmed the rock lege

The Scottish Daily Record is one paper carrying that story. The source is anybody's guess and just an extension of existing copy... but there's no particular reason to doubt it. "KEEF GETS THE OK TO FLY HOME ROCKER Keith Richards was yesterday given the all-clear by doctors to fly home from New Zealand following brain surgery. The Rolling Stone looked relaxed as he left ho

I've only been around here a few days and perhaps shouldn't comment... But if somebody takes the time and trouble to look after and moderate a board such as this, I think we are a bit like guests in his house. That doesn't necessarily mean that we always have to behave impeccably...we can make a noise and a mess occasionally, so long as we take responsibility for it and cl

No fun..but patience is the order of the day. Even if Keith is basically fine , nothing can be firmly arranged or organised until he gets the medical "green light". I'm sure that lots of logistical scenarios have been modelled and that the tour will be back on the rails as soon as practicable. It's hardly in any body's interests to delay longer than necessary is it

I saw that too. Continues the positive vibes. Seems like we can probably discount the worst case scenarios and hopefully assume that it's all now down to Keith getting the medical OK and the time taken to get everything re-scheduled and organised. Hopefully it'll all turn into just another routine tour delay 'cos Keith did something silly ! It is rather a tradition aft

Yeah..really big trouble with the PA sytem...No Keith to play through it ;^) Who knows ? ...but by the time they came on, everybody was absolutely knackered. That feeling, as usual, disappeared with the first chords ! Sitting all night and watching the world go by outside Kings Cross station after the Twickenham gig on the Licks tour was an education too! They were hours late coming on as I recall...because Keith didn't show up on time ...Not much change there then ;^) I also remember Ronnie's 100 foot long guitar lead and the bloke reeling it out as he wandered down the wing of the stage..no wireless in those days ! Skynyrd were good too. I also remember sleeping on Stevenage station on a luggage trolley and being completely wrec

LOL Oh I don't know .Some of us guys can get a bit edgy about it as we knock on a bit. I think that's one of the things about Keith that draws us to him. Keith makes it cool to be older than 25 !

Ventilator Blues. Soul Survivor is cool but I was subconsciously put off it because, as an inner cut on the old LP, it always mistracked horribly on my crappy turntable ;^) Exile has never lent itself to poor playback equipment...but with a good system you can still hear something new in every listen through that murky mix.

The pisser about the last and current tours is that all the UK shows are all allocated seating. The days of getting on the front row by turning up at 6am and sitting at the turnstile all day are gone I'm afraid. It's a great shame. The folks at the front were those who deserved to be there...not those who could afford It !

Sorry to continue this thread, But here's a quote from a photographer who snapped Keith leaving hospital "He looked good, quite fine," according to Phil Walter, a photographer the paper interviewed who was on the scene. "He was walking quite briskly." Now that's the kind of comment that we like to hear !
