I saw a while ago while flipping thru channels. I went past it and then I thought wait, was that Mick running thru the woods with a rifle? I went back and that is what it was and I realized that it must be Ned Kelly. It was kind of funny, probably funnier than it was supposed to be. In the U.S. the opener for Between the Buttons was LSTNT (not Yesterdays papers) Although I have to add that PIB was the opener to Aftermath (in the US) which is a strong opener (nothing against Mothers little helper) how about Great openers on a "lesser" record? I guess One Hit is the clear winner. I might have to put Love Is Strong as I am not a big fan of VL.

there is a very strong correlation between the excellence of the Stones' albums and the opening tracks. Hence the great ones all have openers that are among their best. Nobody wants to say Miss You for fear of ridicule but add that one too and you see their top 7 or so albums named above. The opposite is true also.
