Haven't heard that many from this era, but concerning setlist/performance/atmosphere L'Olympia '95 is very good. Shepherds Bush and Double Door are also fine. I much prefer the club shows, haven't got any fom the Licks tour yet.

'89-'90 was also mine least favorite tour. I must say that they were very professional, cool on stage, Mick sang well and the setlist was good, but the rest of it was not very good, especially the sound. Those MusicMan guitars had a sterile, modern sound and the synthesizers and the whole bloody philharmonic orchestra backing them up were so cheesy. Concerning the solos, Keith was proba

If the files are on RapidShare just click on the "Free" button and then you will be taken to a page with a 65 sec countdown. After that just write in the letters that are shown in the small image next to the download button and then click the button. If you want to download another file, you'll have to wait a bit. For example, if the file you downloaded is 56 MB you have to wait 56

Yeah, it's a great performance, I love Stones doing Berry. ohcarol, Perth is also from '73, and I think they didn't play Carol after 1969. Here's the only Carol from '69 I got (except San Diego), it's a "slow" version from Oakland:

No, they didn't. Little Queenie is the only Berry song played on the '73 Aussie tour. Here's another one from Perth:

I already posted something similar in another thread and a lot of you probably know about this, but it's something too big to miss for any Dylan fan: There are more than 100 bootlegs for download there in alphabetical order with links to descriptions of each. Amazing.

Thanks crash, first time I heard Let It Rock in stereo. troubador - the Rolling Stones FAQ says that "Revisited" CD is the same as original, only reprocessed and equalized to run slightly faster and give more bass. So, the non-revisited version could actually be slightly better sounding.

It's great to hear young Dylan, and I've always admired his early folk-guitar skills. For those who don't know, here's a link to all the best Dylan's bootlegs (soundboard/excellent audience): 1967-1979: 1980-2004: This is a forum similar to this with people posting Dylan bootlegs regularly. Does anyone know of some good boards with boots from The Who, Allmans, Zep

Man, not this again. It's not like mp3s will destroy the best quality sources, there are thousands of people with original CDs/FLACs. For example, in year 2009, when internet connections get faster we will start a thread here: REQUEST: Honolulu '66, in best possible quality (torrent or original, not mp3 source please). Then, people like JoeHill, Rusty or vox12string or whoever

Here's the great cover for this: Any chance of someone posting the rest of CD2 and CD1 (no need for Swedish TV material) to complete the L'Olympia collection, would love to hear the '67 show (Yesterday's Papers, Goin' Home). Thanks again.

Now for something really, really odd but good, check out the futuristic, B-horror, nazi-inspired cover of 'Sympathy For The Devil' by the industrial metal pioneers from Slovenia - Laibach: They made an entire CD of SFTD covers in 1992, some are even weirder. Also, they remade the 'Let It Be' album.

Here's a cover of Street Fighting Man by a popular Croatian/Bosnian band Zabranjeno Pusenje. The lyrics are about going with a bus to the Stones' concert in Zagreb '98.

That's a weird one. I watched PJ Harvey a few times on Jools Holland show, think she's cool, I should probably get some of her albums. I don't quite get Bjork though, I respect her, but man...

I understand the people who are afraid of quality loss concerning mp3. But, consider it this way: in a few years DVD-audio (SACD or whichever) will replace CDs and higher quality DVD bootlegs will be available. Does that mean people should stop downloading FLACs because it will be easy for someone just to convert the wav files into the new standard and trade it as a DVD? No, because we know there

A few years ago people were trading 10th generation tapes that were recorded on some crappy casette recorders, I think mp3s are an improvement over that. In a few years, when internet connections get faster and memory storages get bigger mp3 will become obsolete and we'll all be able to share wav or DVD-audio files in the best quality around here and peace will be restored. Amen.

Considering that most of bootlegs aren't of great quality anyway (except for Leeds, Brussels, Handsome Girls...), mp3s don't degrade the quality that much, if they are at least 192kbps. Also, compression has more negative effect on clean, 'dynamic' instruments such as piano and acoustic guitar. The Stones' sound is mainly based on electric guitars, altough lately Chuck an

The show hasn't been confirmed yet. Apparently, there are three promotional agencies competing for the concert, including Rock&More (who are in charge of Vienna), and the city of Zagreb. Of course, if you are from Croatia you probably know all of this. I have reasonable doubts that there's gonna be a concert at all

Winter SUCKS?! That's one of the most beautiful solos ever by anyone. Or maybe it's just me, I happen to like good guitar playing, silly me. BTW, I hate this Ronnie vs. Taylor threads, pointless.

Here are some: Gimme Shelter, JJF, Monkey Man, CYHMK, HTW, many others from Stones Dreaming From The Waist, Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who Born On The Bayou - CCR The Song Remains The Same - Led Zeppelin (amazing intro but not a great song IMO) Riff-Raff - AC-DC Voodoo Chile, Purple Haze - Hendrix I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye or CCR Natural Mystic, Exodus - Marley

I'd go to their show even if they only played ukulele and tambourine, just to SEE Pete and Roger, one of the greatest icons of rock music would be awesome. Plus, they were by far the best act at Live8. But they probably won't come anywhere near where I live.

- Ishibashi Music Here you can find Japanese Fenders, including a replica of Keith's '52 Tele. There used to be a replica of his sunburst Tele, looks like it's gone now. They ship across the world and are not too expensive IMO.

The referee commenting on the TV I watched said that it definitely was a red card on Messi (though he faked the pain) and it should have been a penalty when someone (Makelele?) played with hand. I love Barca, maybe they won't win the CL, but they play beautiful, though I think last year's match was much better when they lost 4-2. Barca is one of the reasons to watch football, who cares
