I think the original (or should I say the No-NoNoised) version is on the Stones Touring Party box-set which was posted recently in 320kbps by vancouver on Hot Stuff. Bye Bye Johnnie from this show is probably the best Berry cover I've heard.

One of their most underrated albums; unambitious - Stones laid-back and just jamming, having fun. Great contributions by guest musicians and also great to listen to in the summer, in fact I just listened to it this morning while driving back from college, when I picked up this hot girl who was hitching a ride. She tapped her feet to that cool riff in Hey Negrita, but I felt a little embarassed wh

I know nothing about jazz yet, am still in the long process of collecting all the great rock/blues/country/reggae/etc. records (generally prefer the more "primitive" music styles) but after reading these posts I'm going to get Coltrane's Love Supreme as it looks like it's the most praised jazz album. I just love Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers live jams, so I guess I

Yeah, WinMX is also a favorite of mine, whenever I search for some song, I try with WinMX first, cause it's got probably the best interface and download speed. And it was the best place for downloading complete Stones bootlegs, let's hope it gets popular again

It would be great if someone could post the soundboard from the '73 tour when Billy opened for the Stones, never heard that, and it would be kinda appropriate to listen following his sad death. Thanks.

There is a program called musiCutter, which can cut one file into separate songs, but you need to enter beginning and ending of each song, or you can use it with CueMaster, which can try to extract the ID3 data from the file, so you don't need to specify duration of each song... Sorry if I made it look confusing, the rainy weather is killing me

Nice Chuck Berry licks by Ronnie at the end of Midnight Rambler, looks like he's improved a bit over the last tours, he plays a lot more than before

Thanks, I think I even prefer the sound on this boot over the Oakland and San Diego, it's less clear but fuller, sounds more like Ya-Yas than those two.

I don't like the guitar sound of the '81 tour (but I like the tour). Those Mesa Boogie amps had a good chugging rhythm sound, but IMO they sounded thin, cold and lacked midrange and sustain. But the worst sound was on the '89-'90 tour, I won't even go into details. The ultimate rock guitar sound to me is the '69-'77 Ampeg period, those amps have the richest and

I'll probably be there. Also, there's a rock festival in Zagreb which takes place the day before and the day after the Stones concert. The headliners are Franz Ferdinand and Morrisey, could catch them too. If only I give my exams in time...

Highway To Hell and Back In Black probably have better quality song-wise, but I much prefer the sound of the early albums. I haven't heard a guitar sound so loud and raw as on Let There Be Rock and Powerage. Gonna have to buy that JTM-45 amp one day.

Man, I'm so jealous I could kill some of you guys, really, if I ever meet you I WILL KILL YOU! The only world-famous band I saw were the Stones in '03 (great experience, although I spent about 26 hours in bus on that trip, during the exams), but I have seen hundreds of domestic and non-famous foreign bands. I think the most impressive list is definitely troubadour's (though

Excellent show, thanks, but I've read that the best version of this show is 'Ahmet Ertegun, Thank You Kindly'. It was requested here before, but I guess no one has it.

Been playing irregularly for about 5 years, also had no lessons. I think it's great to discover new tricks and licks just by playing, I still remember the day when I learned that basic blues shuffle, or the JJF riff. I only have an acoustic now, so I play mostly blues and country or sometimes tune to open G and play along to Exile.

There hasn't been any news lately, the last news were that three promoters are competing for the organisation. I wouldn't hold my breath though, it looks like 2003 all over again.

Action-wise, I think my favorite is For Your Eyes Only, that one's a rollercoaster. Concerning other qualities, my favorites are actually the ones with the less famous Bonds: In Her Majesties Secret Service and License To Kill, and one or two Connery movies, don't know which ones they're all the same anyway. I think Timothy Dalton was the coolest Bond, but he was too serious for m

No, it can't. Some bootleg makers convert mono to "fake stereo" by putting the lower frequencies (bass) of a song in one channel and the upper frequencies (treble) in the other channel. However, this only makes the sound muddier and worse.

To quote my favorite web rock-critic Capn Marvel (check out his site, really funny): "It's NICKY '@#$%&' HOPKINS!!! My favorite pianny player of all time, hands down (Liszt? @#$%&! Rachmaninoff? Poser!)". I can't imagine songs like Loving Cup, Let It Bleed, Jigsaw Puzzle, No Expectations etc. without Nicky's amazing work. And let's not forget his con

Great choices, esp. Gazza and tomk. Just for fun, here are artworks for some of my favorite flicks I already mentioned on page 1, can't put them all cause all servers worldwide would collapse: As you can see, most of my favorite movies are about (straight) cowboys, gangsters, soldiers, psychopats, zombies and teenage girls. Yup, I'm all man... (lights a smoke and opens

I'm a great fan of the Pythons, LOB is probably the funniest, but HG and MOL are also great. I AM THE GRIM REEAAAPER! I love most of the stuff they did solo, like Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" and "12 Monkeys", Cleese is always hillarious, and Michael Palin's documentaries are amazing.

I want Downhome Girl! Does anyone know any? Really, it would be great if the Stones played it. We want more early songs! Down The Road Apiece, Little By Little, I'm A King Bee, Around And Around, Suzie Q, You Can't Catch Me... I know these are mostly covers, but a lot of people associate them with Stones.

I remember Bottom was great, but I watched it 6-7 years ago, when I was in highschool so I don't remember the details. I also love Rik's guest appearances in Black Adder. Concerning The New Statesman, the first couple of seasons are the best, then it kinda goes downhill but picks up abit by the end.
