The Brussels is superb - but for uniqueness sake, I vote for the "Ain't Security" (London '73 ???)version!!!! Classic!

Someone mentioned the Maximum R&B DVD, and that I would second, esp for someone just jumping on the train. Plus, if you have a Best Buy in your neighborhood, you get a bonus disc of a 1981 live show with sprinkles of some good tunes off of "Face Dances" - so, in a sense, it's the best of both worlds.

Quoteflilflam Wheatever happenned to Perkins anyway? Wayne Perkins lives in my hometown, and a good friend of mine kicks it with him from time to time. He has relayed a couple of funny stories about hanging with Keith, Ronnie, and Anita at "The Wick". For a while there, he would do the odd live show. The last gig I remember him playing was at a "Stones Tribute Night" wit

Quotesweet neo con always interested in 5.1 so...you download the torrent....burn to dvd??...and play on dvd player w/5.1 set-up? additional info is appreciated. You're exactly right - although, for whatever reason a few of them were actually formatted to burn to CD, don't ask me why. But, there was no apparent downside to this as far as the 5.1 spread is concerned, and you'

About, oh, maybe a year ago, I found on a bit torrent site "Let It Bleed" and "Stciky Fingers" in 5.1 surround sound. These were obviously bootlegged, and being a somewhat new convert to the format, decided that they were probably going to be awful and that I obviously couldn't stop curiosity, so I snagged them. I dunno if it was being a "relative" newcomer to t

I think they should have a sobriety clause; i.e. one that "demands" that the performer "loosen up" with a little smoke, a sheet of 'L', a bit of the yayo - and none of this rehab shit! Bands like Aerosmith were great pre-rehab, but, now? Also, rehab kills just as much as substances - Jerry Garcia, Kurt Cobain, Keith Moon....need I go on??? I'm just say

Quotemr_dja Can't wait to hear from everyone their opinions of Keith's "I haven't forgotten any of it." line. It's like I tell my wife sometimes: "Honey, you have the most amazing memory of things that never happened!"

QuoteJustin QuoteUnderAssistantWCpromoMan A Shepherds Bush 99 DVD has surfaced, or at least it was new to me. Actually it's been out since 1999. I recently picked up a copy on DVD after having it on VHS all those years. A Shepherds Bush 99 DVD has surfaced, or at least it was new to me. Quality is quite good for an audience and audio matches the previously released CDs, so I'd recommend searching that one out. Anything recorded by "the Drake" is worth having - there should be threads here to point out what is what.

For more on the bizarre and seedy life of David Jove nee Schneiderman, search Amazon for a copy of "IN HEAVEN EVERYTHING IS FINE - The unsolved Life And Death of Ghost Host Peter Ivers". Peter Ivers was the host of USA NETWORKS NEW WAVE THEATER back in the early 80s and also wrote the song for ERASERHEAD that the book takes its name from. David Jove was a producer of the same sh

If you look at the language from the Drudge post, it doesn't deal in absolutes. Just that Disney execs are "sweating it out". If ya ask me, it's just Disney's way of banking on more bank! Push Keith's book and his appearance in the film at the same time. Create a "buzz", although that is probably an inappropriate way of expressing this process. Hell,

QuoteLayladylay If Mick got Bill and Charlie and Ron and started helping Rons writing thex could be glorious. And maybe get another guitarist and piano guy to write with too it would be great and a new band with the best of the old. And no carrying a bitter life long drug unrecovered drug addict that phones it in and rots the work ethic and vibe. Maybe let Keith contribute a co write or guest on

Wow - you can't post anything on this forum that hasn't been covered yet! Thanks for that, regardless. I'm not certain that I am convinced it is her, but, I would agree they share a similar appearance. Maybe some more information will surface eventually. In the meantime, I'm going to start a thread about how I really, really, do think Mick Taylor should join the Stones

I noticed a recent post by someone regarding "Who Is The Black Chick" from the above censored Stones film, and it reminded me of a question that has dogged me for years: The blonde who shoots up with the crew, and tells the story of the Stones logo necklace Keith gave her, do you know who she is, and is she, in fact, Margaret Fisher - the woman who was with Gram Parsons when he died?

I didn't get it for another month when I wound up in Alabama. I listened to it in

Quotestonescrow Quotebehroez Quotestonescrow I wonder sometimes if the problem is with Mick, he seems to be out of touch with what might be best for the Stones these days, and maybe for many days, years, etc. Maybe it's time for Keith to put his foot down and start making some better decisions for the band, although, I am guessing he might be just as much to blame as Mick when it comes right

Well, I guess the old adage about "opinions are like..." is pretty true. I'll gladly be the lone dissenter on this topic. Keith may not play like he *used* to, but, and this is from a musicians point of view, Keith is every bit the man he always was! If you disagree with me, that's easy. I dare ya to broach this with Keith!

Your call, but willing and able. Thanks for the early mornin
