Fun stuff, but, honestly, it's time for Keith to put some stuff out that r-e-a-l-l-y raises the hair of my neck. Its been a long long time since Talk Is Cheap and Main Offender, and although I quite enjoy his little laidback sidetrips, I am thirsty for some more great solo material.

QuoteVoja The move comes after frontman Sir Mick Jagger reportedly raised concerns over the band's contract with EMI after the company announced it was axing 2,000 staff. Jagger concerned about EMI's announcement to axe 2,000 staff? Does this mark "The return of the Street Fighting Man"? Hell, no. Good publicity stunt, though. Jagger the economist is only too aware of

Quotecbtaco19Speculation about signing with Michael Cohl at Billboard: Some speculate the band may sign with Live Nation's new Artist Nation entity. Such a move would extend their longtime relationship with promoter Michael Cohl, who serves as the head of Artist Nation. But even Live Nation is just a label who needs distributors all over the world. The Stones don't need a labe

QuoteShottI bet it is a real fight over which record company will profit from the 427 units of Shine a Light that will be sold worldwide. I'll get mine of course. Quite possibly a bit over the top, your 427 units remark, but between the lines you think into the right direction. I doubt it will be a million-seller, and I also doubt that there was a real bidding-war between record companies

Too Many Cooks - FINALLY!!!! That's far more than I expected. Checking Up On My Baby from the Red Devils session is also great, however, to my taste it is not the best track from this session, would've preferred Evil, Shake 'em On Down or Still A Fool, but, hey, this compilation forced Mick to listen through the entire session again and who knows if it convinced to him to finally r

Unfortunately, my expectations and my wishes for a new tour differ somewhat... What I expect them to do and what I wish them to do are two different things... Besides, just like Gazza I don't think the Stones as a band have another spell of prolonged touring in them.

Agree that Ronnie is a great musician. Also agree that his solo albums are great. But I don't agree that 'far too many people on this board put the man down' - at least not for nothing. There were times not too long ago when Ronnie simply wasn't great. There were times not too long ago when he was more or less buried in the mix during live shows, and for a good reason. There w

It makes me happy ... and it makes me sad at the same time. Happy because it is a fan's wet dream - twenty, thirty or fourty years ago we could only dream about 4 DVD souvenirs from Stones tours - there was the occasional live album, and besides them the only way to relive certain tours was spending quite some bucks for bootlegs... ...and it makes me a bit sad because -as great as Bigg

If the tour ever happens, they don't need to look around for a good singer - current lineup member Detroit John Idan is as perfect for the Yardbirds as it gets, and he even looks like Keith Relf...

What we hear on YouTube is "Junior's mix of Mick Jagger-Charmed Life" - if we take in consideration how remixers managed to butcher Stones tracks in the past, this remix does not tell much about the original track. What I can hear through is a heavy guitar riff, if that's part of the original track it could sound like Undercover, but of course that's pure speculation...

I know from one of the 'sidemen' that they money they earn from a Stones tour is enough that "all of us don't need to work for a couple of years". Whatever that amounts to, but of course this does mean that their salaries are not exactly bad!

I love this idea! If I remember well, The Police did such an intimiate show for their fanclub members prior to their current world tour start. Watching the videos on YouTube (don't know if they are still there), it looked like it was big fun for both the band and their fans - it was like a public rehearsal, band members chatting with the audience between numbers etc., very loose & relaxe

Considering the rapid eye-losing frequency that has struck the band (first Keith, now Mick) the question begs to be asked WHO'S NEXT? Ronnie? Charlie? One thing is clear, though: If they're not able to stop this then they won't be able to finish the current tour as originally planned; it will be simply impossible to play shows with four eyeless musicians. Don't want to paint i

Hmm, the vaults ARE OPEN, just not officially! There's so much stuff out there in good to great quality that I don't expect major surprises by "official" ventures into the vaults. Then again, there is the "tip of the iceberg" theory which means that the material we know from unofficial sources is just a (small?) portion of the stuff that's in the vaults. In fact
