There is a pic of keith leaving his hotel here in Auckland last month. It's over on Rocks Off. He looks very happy! I would too if my wife looks that good at 50!

So I was watching Almost Famous the other day and it occured to me that the main character is Keith. I know the director said it was based on no one specific and he followed Led Zep and other bands but am sure it is more keith.

Is there any interviews where he gives his opinion on some contempary bands? I know his web site has a couple of q&a on this but it is a vague answer. I would love to know his opinion on the RHCP's, Pearl Jam,Green Day, Metalica, anything!

The silence is cause Keith is a legend and a man of mystery. He will walk out on stage and get the biggest cheer in rock history, Daily updates are not his style.

he walked into the hospital and walked out. He did not have a stroke.

Could I get a small 15 watt tube amp and crank it fully so I have natural distortion at a lower volume?. Either that or I sound proof the basement. I mean getting a true sound is sooo hard to do when volume is an issue. It is easy if you want a metal sound or something but I want to the chords to resonate.

I think you all read to much into BV post. It is not his first language eh. Also to those who seem concerned about him not flying to the USA. Why fly there? I mean he is well looked after down here. We are a friendly bunch. Good dope too. I would presume he is going thru some rough times with no alcohol or drugs allowed. Withdrawl is rough especially for a 62 year old

The guy in the picture with the nurse is Dion Nash. Former NZ cricketer. I think this really happened, but just as a bit of humor to make him feel better. The photo (not the ad) was in the papers here a couple days after the incident.

I think Out of Control from No Security. Man that cooks. In fact most versions on that tour rocked. Where is it? My second choice would be Sympathy for the Devil from B2B St louis. I think this is there greatest version ever without a doubt. Everything is perfect. keiths solos are out of this world. The two best guitar solos he's ever done.

Hi all. Need some advice from some stones fans clued up on burning Cd's. I recently burned the audio from my four flicks DVD so I can listen to it in my car stereo (why couldn't they just have made it a DVD/CD and skipped live licks?). I did this using a DVD audio ripper program and saved the files in Wav format. The problem is there is mild clickin/background noise which is annoying

I recently put my B2B DVD and FF DVD onto my computer in Wav files. It takes up more space but the sound is friggin fantastic. With mp3's there is no noticable difference at low volume but when you crank it the tracks become muddier. It is more noticable with live recordings. Mainly the bass and treble. when I burn a cd with wav files it is of the same standard as an offical live release

Can anyone advise me on a good free DVD-Mp3 ripper? I have downloaded a couple of "trial" programs like xilsoft dvd audio ripper but have noticed it doesn't like Four Flicks. Is this disk specially encoded or something? Also other free programs need new code downloaded and run to operate on XP. Help! Many thanks in advance

TV3 here in NZ has just shown many pics of Keith. The same photographer. He seems to look well to me. Also Ascot Hospital rubbishes claims by the Sun newspaper he was readdmitted later in the day.

Read the title to the thread. There is a hard edge to the music starting on Voodoo lounge tour.

>>>>>The interesting point is that the "most important greatest hits" songs - for example, BrownSugar, JJF, Start Me Up, Sympathy are far better with Darryl. The live Wyman versions of these songs from 1989-90 are relatively boring. Darryl's bass is full of sparks and energy. He plays with humbly, however, in some tracks his play is too thick. He plays too many notes

Is that all you can say? I mean I'm trying to provoke a disscussion. The most redicoulus thing you've ever heard? Com'on. Goodnight

Whatever. You think it has nothing to do with bass? Every band member feeds off others ideas. There is more funk and originality to the music now. Wyman's playing didn't swing. It was static like he was on stage

Just to change topic for a while....I hear Bill Wynman lashing out again last few days....well i gotta to say the band is far better without him. Forget any issue except the music and listen. They are a different band for sure and a better one IMHO. Listen to Tokyo 90 JJF version. Then 4 years later in Tokyo again. Chalk and cheese. While the steel wheels version repeats the same refrain bar

The NZ herald is a conservative paper. It is like the Gardian in the UK. If they say this then all the best Keith. Get well soon.

I am looking for JJF from this tour. Is this version the best? I would like to have a version of it as the opener, i.e the shorter versions. Thanks

I too saw the TVNZ story. One has to presume there is some truth to the story. I hope and wish him well. Being in hospital is no fun at all, especially someone with his lifestlye. All the best Keith!

Keith update. On the local news here in NZ keith reported to be up and moving. Security people and Patti brought in 3 guitars so hopefully he's ok. Main news story here.
