Very well said 'Smiling Sun'! I couldn't agree more -- ABB is an excellent album, vital, vibrant and raunchy in all the right places! I'm delighted with it,and, would rank it up there with great seventies albums like 'Some Girls' and 'Black and Blue'. Besides 2 or 3 fillers,it's full of wonderful songs -- RJ,BOMH,RFD,ONNYA,TPIE,SSMC,LIND,DB,Under th

Whether it be for the money, the music, the fame,or ..for "all the beer you can drink and all the girls down the front" -- the stones are on the road!! And,in 5 years,10 years, whatever it may be,we'll be reminiscing on the days when we COULD see them! So,whatever the reason,I for one count myself as a lucky fan! Roll on!

Greetings dudes & dudettes here in Chez-Stones, Soundboards from the '81 tour -- I've been reading that topic, and, even have a few of 'em me'self, but,I don't know if anyone else will agree, but,I think the best audience-boot is always better than a soundboard. Make sense? Soundboards are crystal clear, mostly, yes, but, you lose a lot of the atmosphere. Au

'Tattoo You' has some supremely crafted songs, and, includes two or three of my absolute fave stones raves -- namely, the glorious "Worried About You",the sublime "Waiting On a Friend",and, that funky groove-fest that is "Slave". "Heaven" would also be in my top-picks,etheral,quite beautiful, and, very atmospheric track. The Slow-Side of the album is

Great topic* Just as some have mentioned above,a compilation such as this does show the stones have a wealth of great material, yes, even in these latter years! To the scores of lazy journalists & critics who roll out the same "Stones haven't recorded a decent album/song since..blah blah blah.."..well,in the immortal words of Sir Mick Jagger,"well, listen to this,c*nt!&quo

Is this the worst stones tour?? I don't think there is a worst stones tour, similar to the fact that there is no worst stones album. Certain tours/albums are preferred to others. Set-lists,personal taste, and, the atmosphere, excitement & vibe surrounding tours/shows does linger just as much as the musical on show. Take the 1976 Tour of Europe for example -- Some feel this was an atroc

So many to choose from that are good-very good, but, for great ones,my choices echo Gazza's--- "Keith Richards" by Victor Bockris, even though a tad sycophantic at times,is a riverting read. Being the very first book i ever got on the stones(way back in 1994),I still have a great affection for it,and,it is very detailed, well written, anecdotal & just a rollicking good read!

Greetings & 'Dia dhuit'(Howdy) Does anyone in-the-know have info about which 'Licks' TV specials are the best/worth having? Read about good ones like a Japanese special from 2003,with interviews and live clips from Chicago. There is an official one(?) I think called "The Virgin Interviews"??

'Dia dhuit' to all, Biggest disappointment? Well, being a die-hard fan of this band,it's tough watching some of the slapdash live-videos from the '70's.I'm talking from 1975 on,when Mick decided it'd be better to garble, drawl and moan the lyrics instead of sing them.Watching those performances is sometimes awful,Mick treating both the matrial and the audien

Greetings all in stones-land, The '73 tour was a classic methinks, but, footage is dang hard to come by.There are "Travelogue" and "1973 Tour" DVD's,but, these are taken from Super-8mm camera's,right? Are they good? Is there a 'must' DVD for fans of the '73 tour? Also, what would be the absolute best 'Licks' bootleg? I ha
