I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the 78 tour. I loved Jagger's outfit. In New Orleans he wore the white jacket with brown leather pants. Very, very cool. Jagger was and is the king.

Does anybody recall the MTV interviews from the Steel Wheels tour when Ronnie Wood was saying that Keith had ordered the guitars to turn down just before a show. Wood smiles and says, "My, how times have changed." In the same series of interviews Wyman states that Richards at another time ordered the keyboards to turn down due to the fact that the Stones were a "guitar band."

I thought the VL tour was superior. VL was a great album. The stage was unbelievable....the sound was great. I saw 6 shows of the VL tour and I loved everyone of them. It will always be hard to top the SW stage becuase there was nothing like it before. It was so groundbreaking!

What a great song this is! What era is this song from? I know it is all too familiar with hardcore fans, but why not record a new and fresh version of this and release it on the new album. Before you start screaming that its not new...remember how old Start Me Up was before it was released in 81. Criss Cross Man is a great, great song. Not making this an official release is a waste.

Never, never, never, never be.......no way...they are still the champs! Let's be grateful we still have them. I'm a huge Beatles fan. I don't have an upcoming album or tour to debate.

I agree with one post the other day that said if there are not too many stadium shows they will not construct a state of the art stadium backdrop. This might be a mistake, unless ticket prices are really low. The days of the Some Girls stage are gone...unless you want to bring back $18.50 tickets. They spoiled me with STeel Wheels.....I say the bigger the show....the better! The Stones have a

Back before the days of MTV and VCRs we used to visit our local music shops to watch the clips of Miss You and Respectable.....boy we loved those two.

What about Gett Off Of My Cloud? Why has this classic song been left out of the set list of their many "modern" tours?

The most acclaimed of all the Rolling Stones albums is Exile on Main Street and the sound of that album is incredibly muddy. I much prefer the production of Tattoo You or Voodoo Lounge to Exile, but in the end it is the quality of the songs that count. My favorite productions are: 1. Sticky Fingers. 2. Voodoo Lounge 3. Tattoo You

God, I hope the opening song is not Undercover. The opening song has to be a classic Stone's song! Undercover was a letdown after Tattoo You. I don't think they ever commercially recovered from that album.

Hello Hound Dog....I saw Blind Melon open for the Stones in Columbia South Carolina on the Voodoo Lounge tour. I had front row seats for this show. Blind Melon had quite a few fans show up just to see them. They did a heck of a job and we really liked them. Hoon opened the show by saying he knew no one was there to hear them....I remember liking his attitude.

1. Start Me Up......What a way to open...and gets it out of the way. 2. Tumbling Dice.....loved it in the #2 slot on the 94 tour. 3. Rip This Joint.....exile. 4. Beast of Burden.....am I rough enough? 5. Shattered 6. new song 7. new song 8. Heart of Stone 9. Mother's Little Helper 10. Gimme Shelter 11. Monkey Man 12. Exactly, Stones albums suffered because of the solo crap. I mean I love Keith, but you have to be a die hard to listen to 12 songs worth of those croaks and groans. Oh, by the way...I'm a die hard.

I'm an open minded soul and I certainly appreciate the many and diverse opinions from the Rolling Stone fans on this board. Nothing, in my opinion, on Primitive Cool is as wretched as "Back to Zero," "Hold Back," & "Winning Ugly." We're all Stones fans and if we have to agree to disagree.....that's okay. What do I know? I thought Don't S

Very good songs that were put on solo albums that should have been saved for Rolling Stone's albums.

I remember 1987 very well. I loved Primitive Cool. Not as good as Wandering Spirit.....a piece of crap???? Not hardly. Party Doll is a great song. Many good tracks....it's certainly in vougue to bash the album now, but I liked it and I still do. The songs on PC are far superior to the songs on Dirty Work.

Now, this is a really good thread. My thoughts exactly...what happened to his playing. The distinctive intro to Stay With Me is as good as anything I've heard. He was a standout guitarist...no doubt about it.

Aerosmith has sold more records than the Rolling Stones? Wow, that's incredible news. Aerosmith did have a late string of hits in the last 15 years, where as the Stones wasted so much good material on solo albums. That's the problem with solo albums. If the best of Primitive Cool, Wandering Spirit, She's the Boss, Goddess in the Doorway, Talk is Cheap, & Main Offender would

I have a meeting with Rick Hall this weekend. Rick Hall is the founder and owner of the legendary Sound Studios in Muscle Shoals Alabama. As seen on the "Brown Sugar" recording page, the producers that are seen in the movie Gimme Shelter used to work for Rick and opened up the studios seen in Gimme Shelter as a rival to Rick Hall. It is most interesting to watch Gimme Shelter with Ri

Exactly, the B-Sharps didn't exist, but U2 does. It was Harrison's backhanded way slam to U2 for copying the Beatles at 3 Saville Row in 1969.

George Harrison got in a clever jab at U2 during his episode of the Simpsons. As Harrison's limo drives by he stops and rolls his window down to see Homer's group, The B-Sharps, playing on the roof of Moe's Tavern. He simply exclaims, "It's been done." I will always believe it was Harrison's comment on the video of U2 playing on the roof of some dowtown LA sp

Give it another 15 years and we'll see how popular U2 will be. The Stones may have saturated the market with their tours since 94, but they are still a huge draw. The Rolling Stones have sold out stadiums in 75, 78, 81, 89, 94, 97, 2002........and considering they took off most of the 1980s......stop it about U2. There is no comparison!
