On my CD (Canadian), it is content protected and on the back cover, on the bottom of the page, there is a list of assorted media that it's compatible with. It lists iPod but then there is an asterik and it says this may not be compatible with iPods so perhaps it'll work for some but not others? I'm not really that familiar with the iPods but I'm assuming it's the same as

Hi Georgelicks, Thanks for the great news. Do you (or any others on board) know what the quantity of units sold are needed for gold/platinum certification in the other major countries apart from the US? I mentioned previously Canada is 50k for gold and 100k for platinum. What about countries like England, Germany, France, Holland, Japan, Russia, Australia, Brazil, etc.? Thanks.

I also have a Highwire CD single which has the full length version, 7" version as well as live versions of I Just Want To Make Love To You which I believe is from one of their Wembley shows and Play With Fire live. As well, I have a Ruby Tuesday CD single that is from Flashpoint. It also has YCAGWYW from Flashpoint as well as Play With Fire live and Undercover live. I bought both in an im

I recall reading Beck did No Expectations in London a few years back. Not sure if it was a one time only thing or if he's done it several times. Not really a fan of his so I'm not sure.

Also from the Voodoo singles, So Young, one of my favorite Stones songs. The B-side live Beast of Burden is from Chicago 81 I believe. Excellent version.

I mentioned this in an earlier thread. When I first heard this song, it immediately reminded me of the outtake on the new Gimme Shelter DVD with Mick playing guitar backstage sitting with Ike and Tina Turner. Anyone else think so?

Pearl Jam were just in Vancouver last week, starting a Canadian Tour. They drew 13,000 which is alot more than I thought they would. They're offering the instant live CD's after their shows. Not a fan of theirs but apparently alot still are. Gene and Paul will milk KISS for all it's worth. Saw their reunion tour in 96 and it was awesome. However, countless farewell tours are

Hi Cindy C. I recall seeing an interview back in the 80's with Keith about the Glimmer origin. He said it started when he and Mick took a cruise to South America in late 68. In his slurring, half sentence voice, he was mentioning how alot of the older crowd on board weren't please that a couple Rolling Stones were on board. He heard one lady saying, " These Rolling Stones..

Hi Mark, I don't think Adam Sandler or Greg Kinear are Canadian. You forgot to add Pam Anderson to the list. Unfortunately, Tom Green is also Canadian! I also think one must remember that the vast majority of Canadians live near the US/Canada border and we all get US tv stations so our knowledge of the US is probably more than a person living in the US south would know about us. I&#

They were on fairly quickly. I started taping the show and then Waiting On a Friend came on within the first half hour or so. I stopped taping/watching after that. I think that would have been the only song they performed.

Booth's book is awesome. I bought it when it first came out. I like Bill's books, too, just because of all of the stats/numbers and little details of certain dates etc.

What better way to promote an album than to write some current political lyrics. Lots of free advertising in the news, magazines, internet, etc.

I was actually watching Rolling With The Stones tonight on MuchMoreMusic in Canada. They mentioned this recording of Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys and it was auctioned at Christies in the mid 90's. Mick successfully bought the reel so I doubt anyone will have it. They played a very brief tape of them playing Around and Around. Dick Taylor said they made it as an audition tape, I thin

Hi Baboon Bro, I was just commenting on the humanriff77's comment of whitey shit. I don't think of Clapton/Blackmore or even Slash as "Whitey shit". What would actually categorize someone as "whitey shit"?

Hey Trainarollin, I mentioned Bruce D also!! Saw Maiden first time in Vancouver 1982 opening for Scorpions. Crowd rocked. Bruce said it was the closest audience that he'd heard yet to remind him of their hometown and I truly believed him. Only around 4000 in the PNE Coliseum but everyone was stomping their feet and cheering loud.

Hi Georgelicks, Do you know how many albums each of the one's you've listed sold? Jumpback at #136 equals how many sold? I always check the Billboard website and am curious to know actual numbers. For example, Back In Black is usually in the top 10 for catalog albums. How many units does that equate to and would it be enough to be in the top 200? Thanks

On Def Leppard's current greatest hits CD, they have a version of No Matter What You Do by Badfinger. Great version. They're supposed to be releasing an album of lesser known cover tunes.

I think it's more of a case that Stones recording sessions go on so long that he probably missed a couple, as well as the fact that they record quite a few numbers that he probably didn't mind missing a couple. Some situations, like Sympathy, you watch Keith playing bass because they're still developing the song. Probably a similar situation with Live With Me and even Emotional

I think it is a good song. Always wondered why it was never included on Undercover. Hope it'll show up on CD eventually. I've got the 45 but haven't played it in probably 20 years. Same situation with Fancy Man Blues. Should have been on Steel Wheels album. At least I have this on CD, Mixed Emotions CD single.

Jagger David Lee Roth (1978-1984) Absolute best frontman from the hard rock/metal genre. Saw him 3 times with Van Halen (and 4 times solo), when they were definitely the biggest American rock band. Angus - ironic people list Bon when the reality is when he was alive, AC/DC weren't that popular. Back In Black launched them into superstardom. Still, after finally seeing the early AC/DC v
