QuotekeeffriffhardPeople, get a life Buy a guitar and start your own rock&roll band I have and I've learnt much from and admired the bond between Keith and Ron Especially how they interact with eachother in their playing. Two similar, but yet different styles blending together.

And maybe, just maybe he has contributed a lot to the Stones staying together. That's a great contribution, even though we don't know what would have happened without him.

I certainly don't agree to GHS beeing better produced than Exile! GHS is maybe the worst produced Stones album, but the songs are pretty good IMO.

They left out Brians guitar parts when mixing Rock 'n' Roll Circus. Look closely at 1:17. Charlie Plays both shaker and hi-hat! How cool is that?><

Too bad you almost can't hear Bill in the mix of Flashpoint. But Atlantic City '89 is another thing!

Ronnie said it himself that he and Keith were writing som great songs together, but he stepped aside because Keith and Mick could write even better songs. I believe Ronnie has still got the creativity. Just listen to Not For Beginners. Some lovely songs there, and man, he's really nailing the guitars on that one. So beautiful it makes me weep, some of it!

Kind of funny Keith saying that punk gave them a foot in the ass, and the producer of the interview is picking the video of Miss You for illustration

Quoteretired_dogNice, but with the Black Crowes I miss the outstanding songs. I mean the REALLY outstanding songs. This is no exception. The Crowes were almore more about sound than actual exceptional songs to me. The sound I love, but the true genius in songcraft is missing. Don't agree. Twice as Hard, Remedy, Hotel Illness, Sting Me, A Conspiracy, High Head Blues, Nebakanezer, Blackberry

To me, You Got The Silver, is a kind of a mark where Keith started to really grow as a lead singer, so. Definetly Keith's version, but it would have been fun to hear them sing it together!

QuoteccQuoteaudun-eg Does anybody know which amps they were using back then? interesting question--I believe keith used Ampegs for both the '72 and '75 tours, as did the whole Stones backline, but would he have deferred to what ron wanted for this occasion? What did the Faces use? Yes, I think I remember now, reading that they used Ampegs from 69 to 78. Ridiculously high watted too.

Yes, and they've done a very good job restoring the audio as well! Nice to hear both Ronnie and Keith as sharp as this in their playing. (Even though I'm glad they've evolved guitar-sound-wise>< ) Does anybody know which amps they were using back then?

The fact is: Bill is not a part of the Stones, and never will be again (most likely). Darryl is a hell of a bassplayer, and is blending in nicely with the Stones, I think.

Just got the Cd/DVD by mail today, and just watched the concert. Wow! Great! Especially loved Take a Look at the Guy, Sure the One You Need and loved Keith at the piano on Act Together (And of course Ronnie's phrase: "Sure looking... nice" ) I guess most of you've got it, but if you haven't.... Buy it at once!

Quotefarawayeyes2Indeed John Lennon is worth nothing,as a guitarplayer/singer/songwriter.(Just my opininon) that guy wrote, sang and played some of the best songs of the century MTfan, how can he be worth nothing? Not a very big Beatles fan, but John had one of the most characteristic and cool rock 'n' roll voices I've ever heard. Simply love the way he sang!

QuoteskipstoneOne might think Ronnie would have figured out he was an idiot with all the various ways he lost his money. Because he sure seems to come off as an idiot in his book. So Keith was not kidding when he said the only reason they still tour is because Ronnie needs the money because he's always broke. I think when these guys say they're broke, they surely aren't as
