<Welcome to the club! I find it strange that this song is considered "a filler" by the many...it's got a terrific punch that rocker, a PERFECT live song - it's a wonder why it's one of the 3 BTB songs that haven't been performed live yet.> Can't listen to it. The song's got great guitars, but the melody line (vocals) is knicked and ripped right off

<When he puts on a guitar in standard tuning for any song like "LSTNT" "Sympathy" "Slipping Away" "Ain't Too Proud..." "Satisfaction" and etc etc...the bum notes multiply immediately.> Not before 1997.

The best song (writing and performance in studio) is IMO Moonlight Mile. My favourite however, is If You Can't Rock Me.

Taylor always plays more fluid. But it sounds like Keith added an overdub for the last part of the solo. I don't agree on different style, though. Listen to Luxury and Ain't Too Proud To Beg. The same style there.

<Different mix> From the reels or with the wav-files? My guess is the latter, from the excerpts I've heard.

<I think he plays dome electric slide guitar licks on Moonlight Mile in open G tuning. Mick's slide guitar parts on Ventilator Blues are in open G. Soul Survivor again open G. All the guitar parts in Tumblin' Dice are also in open G though I don't know if Mick Taylor played the guitar slide parts on that. I think it was Keith. Ditto on Happy.> I think you're right

I think Out Of Control is a great song. But on the album, it stinks. I don't like the sound, the guitars, the echo on the chorus or the playing. But live it truly is one of the greatest stones tracks since the early 80s. BTW, I heard a Faces-song the other day (or was it RS with The Faces?). The humming on OOC was crealy nicked from the Faces-tune. Anyone help me out here?

<Always Suffering/Already Over Me it's not the first time that's been done, of course, but in this case i feel i'd probably appreciate one of them more (whichever one!) if they'd omitted the other one.> Not on the same album though, but listen to the intros of Coming Down Again and Sleep Tonight

Let's not forget that most guitar players (pop/rock) actually play slide in standard tuning. Blues pickers like us often use open tuning. But OpenG's got a point - most players do not sound like Taylor!
