At my favourite bar, the "Einstein" in my hometown Emden, they were quite Stones-friendly. It is a bar for people who are against nuclear power and the US, but the DJs really got some taste; they play a lot of stuff the usual customers don't know. eg, the complete Achtung Baby album by U2, rare Stone traks like CYHMK, Harlem Shuffle, Driving Too Fast, Casino Boogie, Play With Fir

I would not say that I'm a heavy drinker, but I tend to drink at least one beer or glass of wine every evening. I drink more when I'm with friends and sometimes I drink 6 beer or so when I watch a good film and listen to some music on my MP3-Player afterwards.

If I find enough time, I read some books, but most of the time I'm tired. My last three books (last 6-9 months) were a biography of former German chancellor Brandt, the boon "Dr Sex" by TC Boyle about Kinsey and a semi-scientistic book by Frank Schätzing, a very polular author here in Germany. My next book my be something about the Scott/ Amundsen situation 1909 or I'll star

How many smokers are out here ? I know smoking is a big thing regarding Keith's and Ron's health, and many of you have said in the past that it's a very childish behaviour, maybe something to pretend mankind and coolness. I smoke since I'm 16, I try to stay under the bench of 10 American Spirit cigarettes, I know about the danger but still enjoy lighting a cigarette after lu

Well, that's exactly the reaction I was expecting when I wrote this post. I really critisize these points, but I posted them mainly because I just wanted to see how many people would bash me for this.

1. That those three backup singers (esp B. Fowler and L. Fisher) clap their hands and dance to the rhythm of the songs when they are on stage, off-stage backing-vox are often toooooo loud (JJF, IORR) and unnecessary, I also hate those "Jumping Jack Flaaaash"s and "Broooooown Sugar"s. 2. That they charge astronomical ticket prices ith the result that they play to half empty st

I think there are varius reasons. - There are only 50 % of the original band on stage, while the bass player died in 2002, fans must be happy enough to see them in 2006 on stage. - Simple as it is, The Who's back catalogue is not as big and good as the one of the Stones.

My favourite has always been Roger Moore, with a strong second Sean Connery. Pierce Brosnan is three, but I must admit that "The World Is Not Enough" and "Die Another Day" are very weak films (though I think it's not Brosnan's fault). Timothy Dalton was not that bad I think. The Thing about those two films is that they happened to be in the late 80s, when the James

I loved This Place Is Empty and either Before They Me Me Run or Happy. I really felt disappointed when Keith said "Alright, Slipping Away" in Hannover this year, he played the 2 songs that he's already played in 2003, Before They Make Me Run was even played in 1990 and 1995. My vote goes to You Got The Silver / Connection / Little T&A (even if it's just for the flash of

I think it wouldn't kill either the fans or the band to play songs like "She Saw Me Coming", "Driving Too Fast", "Let Me Down Slow" or "Laugh I Nearly Died". But after the Beacon shows, where I hoped to find them trying out something off the new album, I don't think they care about ABB anymore. Also, as Erik_Snow said, the tour will be over in t

1. "As Tears Go By" - absolutely beautiful 2. "She Was Hot" - sounded very promising on Youtube 3. "She's So Cold" - superior to the 1981/82 versions IMHO, guitars way up in the mix; ancient art of weaving 4. "Under My Thumb" - played in a way close to 1981 5. "This Place Is Empty" - when I first heard the SB version from Argentina, it se
