Now I believe that A Bigger Bang is gonna be a great great album!! Laugh I Nearly Died is now my favorite! This is Jagger at the top, as he should sound. It's got a little Tattoo You feel in it... great, superb!!!

Great songs!! Infamy from Keith is a classic one!! This could be a killer album if this is continue the way like Sweet Neocon, Back Of My Hand, Infamy, Let Me Down Slow, Rough Justice, Oh No Not You Again!

Guys... Don't you know Mick's solo song Blue? He played slide on this too! So I knew when I heard Back Of My Hand for a couple of times that it had to be Mick. Only he plays that raw vibrato thing with the slide... it's his style! So I am not surprised. I am surprised though, exciting actually, that he played his slide part on stage!! That had to be cool!

It's Wayne Perkins, no doubt about it! This ain't Ronnie's style at all. Ronnie messed his solo during the Licks tour on Worried About You up big time. He tries to copy it from the beginning, but it then goes nowhere (incl false notes).

Of course no one likes almost any of the support-acts, cause everybody is waiting for the Stones... We don't need no other band on stage. The music played before the show is great to get in the mood so to speak, but another live band on the stage of the Stones?

Nice version, allthough it sounds a bit messy sometimes. Just keep on recording, it's fun to do! Get the mikes close to the guitar. With software like Adobe Audition you can easily mix all kinds of reverb or other effects. For a bass part you can use the low-E of your guitar and make it sound more like a bass using Audition, for instance! Try it, it's great! Some years ago I also re

I like almost everything!! If I have to choose the worst album to me should be Dirty Work. But on the otherhand I like One Hit, Harlem Shuffle, Too Rude, Had It With You and Sleep Tonight. I like B2B a lot, except for Low Down, Too Tight and Always Suffering (boring to me). It's all personal of course. Actually I don't think in worst or best albums anymore with the Stones. I like

If you're a musician (professional or as a hobby, whatever) or a (critical) music lover you can understand Mathijs' motives I think. Because when you hear a song it should sound just right for that song. And maybe you wanna hear every instrument played in the song. All that has to do with playing, mixing, the acoustics (studio), etc. And eventually some people want to hear the song just

When I first heard Blue from Mick solo I was (positively) surprised he did all the guitar parts himself, including the slide part. He is a fine guitar player. And when I listened to Back Of My Hand I recognized Mick's style more than it could be Keith or Ron.

Mick said in an article (Billboard?) that none of his drumrecordings made it on the new album... so this must be Charlie on Back Of My Hand. And still I think it is Mick on slide.

Yes StonesTod, but listen to Blue from Mick solo. The slide in Back Of My Hand has a Mick-feel.

Who will bet? Both Keith and Mick on guitar and Mick plays the slide/rhythm part! I also think this song is completely Mick and Keith! Mick on drums, shaker, harp, vocal, slide/rhythm guitar (right channel) Keith on guitar (left).

Question: Who thinks it's Keith and Mick on guitar on Back Of My Hand? Mick on slide.

By Mathijs: "But (a big BUT) if Jagger had asked me to play a slide solo on Rough Justice it would have been exactly the same solo as Wood has done, and therefore I find it truly uninteresting anymore." I also think the solo's of Ronnie are musically or technically not very interesting (anymore). Taylor could play an extended solo as long as he would and it would still sound

I like Rough Justice a lot. It may be no classic as Brown Sugar or Bitch but it's the Stones rocking! Also like Back Of My Hand.

I like Steel Wheels a lot!! But that also was a different time, meaning their motivation or drive of a come-back... Mick and Keith being friends again. I don't believe they have the same drive all though I have seen them on fire live once, so it's still there somewhere... it just have to be lit on!

I must agree with Mathijs. Although I like Voodoo Lounge very much (personal taste!) I know what Mathijs means. It's like nowadays they don't spend too much time recording a song. Just a few takes and that's it. It can be a good thing, but in Stones history we all know they are not really a one-take band so to speak. They get quality by recording lots of takes of songs and than mix

There are 2 guitars (left and right), harp, shaker, bassdrum and vocal. Keith on left channel, could it be Mick on the right channel? He also played Blue by himself (also slide). Otherwise it must be Keith.
