We could hear them. It’s called respect. There’s a contract between taper and collector that should be abided by. If some tapers don’t care, great. But the ones that do should have their wishes respected.

I just can't believe the vitriol inspired by a request as simple as "please don't mess with my tapes." I'm not a taper, but I'm a collector. Not just the Stones, but a variety of artists. I feel very fortunate to have high quality recordings of every Stones concert I've attended (still waiting on MetLife 2, but that will come). For me, these tapes are aki

QuoteMichaelLassen My favorite is the longest version ever, from Roskilde 2014. Also the last time Mick Taylor played with them. Taylor stayed through Australia 2014.

Comparing a taper of Rolling Stones concerts to Trump is…a take, certainly.

Tapers sacrifice their enjoyment of a show to try and get the music out to the masses. They’re the ones risking ejection and other factors by doing what they do. The least we can do is respect their wishes

I was gonna limit to strictly live bootlegs (and maybe extend it to 100). I know I’m missing 1964-70, but they’re not my area of expertise. 1972 Philadelphia Special (2022 Multiband Remaster) Welcome to New York (2022 Multiband Remaster) Fort Worth Express 1973 Cricket Anyone? (Captain Acid Remaster of Perth & Sydney) Bedspring Symphony 1975 Woody’s First (Captain Acid Remaster

Both. Obviously the famous silvers would be on there, but especially from Licks onward a lot of aud tapes and downloads of shows. It’s more about the shows than how they’re physically available.

I think Haynes is better than Sasha. Sasha always seemed to restrained, Haynes really goes for it and brings back the drama needed for that particular section of Gimme Shelter.

Has a comprehensive list of the most essential Rolling Stones bootlegs ever been made? I've been on a collector for years and have listened to pretty much all the best shows from each tour, and would love to help create a comprehensive beginners' guide with the help of other hardcore fans. The criteria would be as follows: - sound quality - circulation - noteriety Ideally, it

The set list has been great this tour. It almost reminds me of No Security with lesser played songs (Cloud, Shattered, Bitch) become surprisingly invigorated regulars at the forefront. She’s So Cold was a nice surprise, and the Vegas Rolling Stone is the best version I’ve ever heard. It’s Only Rock’n Roll is another song that just sounds fantastic for the first time in years this tour. It’s l

Quotedaspyknows Quotefrankotero I made comments about this subject in the second New Jersey thread. Maybe it's better here. Basically I don't like the high opinion some tapers seem to have. It's fine if they want to perfect their skills and share their work within a circle of friends, but I don't like when they brag about having this stuff. Why not keep it to themselves if the

Is it just me or is that one of the more successful Shattered’s they’ve ever done? Keith kept up, Mick kept up, Ronnie and Steve held it together. Great version, especially considering it sounded like a death march in 2018.

The drGiggles recording is remarkably good considered where it was recorded. It sounds pretty much exactly as it did from the 300s (I was in 339). The guitars and vocals hit when they need too, which is good enough for me. I’ve been listening to it nonstop and can’t hear how it can be improved upon.

That Emotional Rescue sounds really good for not being done in a decade.

Long-time lurker, first time poster (my review on this show is on the page as Stoned In Staten Island). The Stones have been my favorite band all my life; despite this I’ve only seen them four times. This show on Sunday was the best I’ve seen of them. Sure, my first show (HBO MSG 2003) may have been smoother, but the ragged energy they powered through their limitations with on Sunday was fa
